been looking at 4 branch manifolds for the fiesta...

i dont wana go down the route of buying an ashley comp one.

had one before and it was shite to be fair, constantly blowing its tits off.

it didnt fit properly, neither does my bosses on his mk1 mexico and neither does my mates on his pinto`d sierra..

they rust like mad as well.

now ive heard of people using a focus 1.8/2.0 blacktop manifold on silvertop fiesta before.

i was just looking at this manifold..



obviously it probably not gona fit straight on..

but how hard would it be to fit to my fiesta? ii will bolt straight on to a silvertop zetec wont it?

biggest issue is clearing the starter due to it being on the front
you can get a focus st170 manifold as its a 4-2-1 design straight out of the box but will need modding again for the starter
i got a 4-1 for my fiesta and with a little bit of modding with a hammer it just cleared the starter
came from ebay from the states

ahh rite. what make was that manifold gary?

did you find it made much difference..

i duno whether to go 1.8 or 2.0 gary what do you think?

what fiestas that in the pics?

I have looked into using focus manifolds and stuff before, but never really looked into it at depth. Something I may do a bit of random research on in the next couple of days I think!

might be well worth a try for just over 100 plus shipping though...

that was only a quick look on ebay us it cost me alot less for shipping for mine but it was a good few years ago now

did you have to modify it much to make it fit then?

im tempted to keep the 1.8 now..

it will fit the 2ltr aswell
a little bit the smaller starter motor either get a down pipe made up or get the hammer on it to give a little clearnace for the starter and heat wrap the starter. and get a pipe made up to connect to the rest of the exhaust

ahh it doesnt say how much postage is to the uk...

obviously theres quite a bit of excess exhaust which we wont need..

thing is gary ive already got the 1.8 with 2.0 cams.. only need a few other bits and its up to 130 spec.

i would have to spend a good few hundred pounds to buy this 2.0.

you will have issues with the starter clearance with that one
take it he didnt take ur offer on the engine then ?

how much postage did you pay on the obx manifold gary?

coz they are 102 plus postage which it doesnt say what it is..

and have a look at this, scroll down the pages theres a pic of the engine with the obx fitted to it but it looks different to your downpipe?
