i could turbo it my mate built a 2.1 zetec turbo s2 rst running 300bhp and he would help me but i dont wana spend that much on it like...

hopefully having a different engine to go in it around xmas time... with a good power output.

I think the compression ratio is higher, because if you put a 1.8 head on a 2 litre block it raises the compression ratio... could be wrong though. I have seen a few 1.8 escort turbo's on youtube, i did look into it briefly but cant remember what i read about it lol

yeah danny's right - you can decompression plate low boost turbo a 1.8 for around 200bhp :)

usually around a grand to grand and half

depends on your routes you take and how reliable you want it to be, inlet is the biggest pain in the arse, not worth running a rs turbo one or the cast efi inlet (zetec) as theyre very restrictive, best on the cheap is a rover turbo inlet with zetec flange welded on

16v with raceland induction, Group N 421 and catback, Catcams and your looking at 160ish at the wheels.

hes not going mad with it. just a budget track toy.

got spax springs for it and a raceland 4-2-1.

just gona get exhaust filter and maybe a cam.

strip it with some buckets and it will be fast enough to have a bit of fun in. they dont weigh alot so dont really need that much power.

his old one went really well with raceland mani k&n and a race tube on it, and that had all the interior in..

wanted to make some more progress with the project.

so spent this afternoon putting the fiesta on a diet.

so i have removed

interior panels
carpets
headlining
rear seats
seatbelts
sound deadening from behing dashboard (well most of it, without having to remove the dashboard completely.)

next on the list is to remove all the tar sound deadening from the floorpan, which as far as i can remember, jason took like 25kgs from his si. but will do that when its in work with a heat gun.

also gona strip the sound deadening from under the bonnet. i will also be losing the weight of the power steering.

im also very happy! i was expecting to remove the carpets and panel and find rust here an there, i was scared i would find holes.

but, i didnt find anything! well one tiny bit of surface rust on the nsr strut top, but i nothing a wire brush and a quick spray of paint wont fix.
im well happy! i think ive got a very clean shell here.
