There may be some light at the end of the tunnel. The custom map for injecting fuel on start-up depending on the coolant temperature may need slightly tweaking - I'm going to test this by removing the coolant sensor the next time it happens so the ECU defaults to a standard temp setting, as it would make sense as plugging in my standard ECU for a few seconds to test enables the car to start up fine when it has had issues a few seconds earlier... Along with dumping 2.5x the amount of fuel it needs..

if it IS that, at least all it's cost me is a favour to a mate for a free main relay and £24 quid for an OEM fuel filter from Honda... Will update once I've tested this, which may be after my much needed holiday.

They're not unreliable, but yes they need regular replacing.

I've got Full Honda Service History and never had the cap/rotor arm replaced in 108k... Everything else has been serviced every 6 or 12k though.

I'm getting a new arm and cap though as I've never had a distributor on a car before so never needed to know anything about them (hence my lack of knowledge as Sixfields, Des  )

Somehow I'm not going to be buying an entire Distrubutor unit from Honda...

http://www.hondaoriginalparts.com/honda ... k_03=19786

£538.16

Yeah whatever, Trevor

Luckily I can get much cheaper OEM parts delivered in from Ireland, so rotor arm, cap, surround and gasket for around £44 which is nay bad :)

That's not a bad price matey! :D Mine works out about the same.

And the full distributer is about the same from Nissan  Ridiculous!

Capri, Pinto, and old are the key words there....

And you previous post, the key words were reliable and Jap....

So because a Pinto engine designed in the 15th century has trouble, that means all dizzy's are troublesome?? I've not had an ounce of trouble with mine either. It is due for a change though...

Yeah there's a few around, especially on the american forums that are spoiler-less, roof rack, insane camber and a few grands worth of wheels.

Looks good when done properly. Still wouldn't turn a car like this into a stance queen though, not my style and would destroy everything the Integra stands for.

Will be fitting my new distributor bits at the weekend as they arrived at work apparently. Car started fine after 8/9 days of not moving it. I'm suspecting the map needs tweaking even more now as it only happens in "cool down mode" as I call it... :)

Ooo not updated this in a few weeks.

Was given a 2nd hand distributor to fix my issue - Anyone at Sixfields will mention that after a few passenger rides my car didn't want to start without a push. It was actually the TDC sensor in the distributor that packed up due to all the extra heat, though it took a good few weeks for the engine to actually produce a CEL on the dash, as even before I jumped the engine check light diagnostic and nothing came up. I just need to check my ignition timing again, but it's been fine for nearly a week now with the new unit :D

Also, I've ordered my stage 4 competition 6-paddle sprung clutch and lightened flywheel. Should be here very soon :D That's it really. Going to get a new lower engine mount in a few days too which isn't really that exciting.

Finally, going to swap the shitty front Eagle F1's with my fairly new Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2's on the back and buy some new PE2's for the back in a few weeks.

Then once the clutch is bed in, will be interesting to see what my new straight through backbox and 14psi is like compared to 8psi and a restrictive item. 8-)

Cheers.

Cheers guys. :)

Clutch kit and flywheel has arrived! Not bad seeing as I called up their sales guy yesterday and wangled 10% off and free next day delivery at 4pm.

Standard flywheel is 7.9KG. This one is 4.4KG. So lightened, but not by too much. Clutch is stated to need only a 500 mile break in, so I'll be doing plenty of town driving and gear changing to get it bedded in. I'll finally be able to try out my launch control as well.

The backbox will be custom made, and obviously mandrel bent. Not sure on the tip design yet. But suffice to say the 300bhp limit will be somewhere to stay for the time being, but that's not yet.

I've not even been able to see what 8psi can really do due to only being able to use part throttle in the first few gears!
