the ignis is supposed to run on 98RON fuel, its a bit flat with 95 in it, and much better on fuel on 99 momentum i normally use.

has it got an exhaust system on it??

with the ignis it doesnt make a huge difference with 99 but its definately better.

Just abit of an update here for you guys

As many of you will know the engine i fitted came out of a written off car with the front and rear ends smashed which ment my inlet manifold had a huge dent on the 3rd inlet pipe which must have been loseing me power and overfueling like a bitch as it was about half the size of all the other inlet pipes due to the dent. so browseing on ebay i found 2, one for £110 and another for £89 buy it now, i thought i cant afford that at the moment ill wait. Went back onto ebay in the evening while bored at work and up popped a 190 inlet manifold, exhaust manifold and throttle body! at £10 start price on a 1 day auction, placed a bid on it and won it for £10! well chuffed as i needed an exhaust manifold aswell as mine of blowing! so parts that could have cost me £200 ish i got for £10, i like ebay bargains lol

anyway pic of the new inlet, starting to polish it up, all casting marks removed just need to get a metal polish and a polishing disk to go onto the drill to get it mirror shine


Also went to toyota and got a new airfilter and cabin filter as both mine were black!



Car feels Alot quicker than before, quite shocked at the differance it has made to it! so hopefully the car should be near to the proper power figure that it was when the car was new which is 189bhp. also didnt realise the Tsport 190 is .2 of a second quicker to 60 than a standerd 190 making it hit 60 in 7 secs dead rather than 7.2, wonder why that is dunno if its because the tsport has traction control and the standerd 190 doesnt! who knows!

managed to have a short blast with a 140 the other day, wasnt as quick as i thought it be

2.0 fiesta or rs1800 would kick a 140s arse off the lights but your probably find the 140 would pull past over about 60mph. I never found the acceleration very good on the 140, only book at 8.9 secs to 60!

I have been working alot lately and havnt realy had time to work on the car with work and wedding planning so today i got over to my parents to inspect the suspension, nothing seemed out of place so i staterd to try out the old string and measure tracking system, set the string at 30cm from the center of both wheels, back wheel was fine, tracking true but when i measured the wheel that hit the hole i got readings of ....

So the wheel was toeing in by a good 1.5cm which is rather drastic! you can see it is toed in from the photo, the steering was centered in the photo, adjusted the track rod so it was as it should be and went routh to the other side od the car but both wheel were purfect, took the car for a drive and i am shocked at how much better it is to drive now! my steering wheel sits in the center as it should and doesnt pull attal ! so im happy!

And last off my new badge if you hadnt noticed on the last photo, a T Sport badge as this is a t sport in a vvti shell




I like it, i could have had VVTI-190 badge but though the t sport one goes with the seats as they have this same badge embroided into them

I'm quite confidant that it's tracked true and straight as it drives so well now, I have taken it to 3 places in the last 6 months and none of them have managed to set my car up properly, I always End up leaving after handing over £30/£60 to a off set steering wheel, this is the first time in over a year then my steering has been straight lol :grin: oh it's tempting but my partner would kill me if I spent £700 on some wheels when we have the wedding to pay for lol but if I do get new wheels they will be rota GR6s:twisted:
