Cam belt has snapped today any one have an idea how much I'm looking at to try fix it? Or is there no point even thinking about it? Or to just break the whole car down and sell it for parts?

2.0 coversion????? All u need is engine, inlet, ecu, maf can pick that lot up for under £200 and the engine drops right in with no modding! Is a great mod for the added 50bhp and torque compared to the gutless 1600! Or just buy another 1.6 cheap from the scrappies!. Loads of info on the forum for the conversion, even if you not that clued up on cars its really not that hard to change an engine

will depend on how much damage has been done to the engine
it would be cheaper if you wanted to stick to a 1.6 to replace the whole engine

Replace the engine.

Get some tools and read up on the guides.. easy cars to work on
