Just a small update.
Got my MOT next week so thought id crack on and get the final bits sorted for it.

Main thing was that my rear brakes got an advisory last year for not being very effective......your see why in the pictures. i was also geting alot of vibration when braking which obviously meant the discs were warped. so i bought myself a complete set of discs and pads for the car.

New brakes out the box


Front disc comparison, Alot of rust on the old disc, there were removed from the 190 t sport i bought.




And here they are, the stupidly badly corroded rear discs!!!!!!! hardly any contact on them attal

I also had a go at polishing my inlet manifold, came out ok for a quick 10 min job! ill get pics as soon as my photobucket decides to work again!

nice stuff, ive never ever understood how brakes can get that bad, seen it often, and im not bragging now, but none of my motors ever have gone like that so i cant understand how they do it???

On the celica its a common problem for the back for the discs to corrode, i think its due to the back plates on the discs holding in moisture if u dont drive for afew days. I havnt changed the rear discs on this cince i bought it so it was proberly from where it was sat on a garage forcourt! Brakes are stupidly good now, before i had about quarter travel on the pedal before i even got any brake force, now the brakes come on almost instantly when tapping the pedal! Feels safe now haha

Cheers terry. I was shocked at the differance they have made changing all 4! Tbh all 8 pads were near metal on metal lol, my brake fluid over flowed when i had done all discs! I got the set of 4 for a bargain off ebay. Front discs and pads are ebc, rears i cant remember the make but all for £104 deliverd! Well impressed! Suppose cossie ones wont be as easy to get hold of lol
