Tracking is pointing outwards ever so slightly... but as we've had it to bits, I'd expect something to be out

hey Paul (or perhaps 95 Fiesta Si) this has 16 mondy alloys on right? what tyres is it running? are there spacers/rubbing? how does it handle on the 16's?

So no scrubbing with the 195/40's? trying to see whats best for my 16's. 195/45's are about £20 cheaper a tyre but would they cause unwanted scrubbing

The 16's do have a slightly bigger size than the 14's (the same alloy style).

My 14's I sold had 185/55/R14's on, and the 16's with 195/45/R16 are 4/1% bigger in circumference. My current wheels are 5 spoke Focus items that have 195/60/R15 which is 5.4% bigger than the 16's, and I get mild scrubbing. Not sure a lowering would work on the 16's with a 45 profile, but with 40, a 25mm drop should be just about feasible.

i used 16 inch 7j wide wheels and run 205/50/16 and i had fair amount of rubbing at 30mm lowering, 195/45/16 on 6.5j with 30mm should be fine, maybe rub in bad situs like a full car or massive bump

40's to be safe imo

Personally 7j is overkill.
I'd stick to 40s as well.
