Will get a picture of the normal one with a modded end I have from my previous car, and the one on this (has a flexi)

Right well boys and girls, its a true 16 year old Ford, and needs some small welding done in the footwells, the usual place where the 3 panels join. Not to worry, I was expecting something. Will underseal the whole thing at some point with the spray gun.

Had fun with the shaft issue

Got it done in the end, shafts in fine but I think the wishbones are the wrong ones for it to be out that much!

Been for a drive (private road) and all seems good though, needs tracking as its pointing out a tad.

yo paul it may sound odd but i had a similar problem with a drive shaft on my escort gti
the inner circlip on the hub end of the shaft needed opening up then the shaft went in abit more and it locked in place :thumbsup:

it may work :hmm:

you work well on the floor, i hate working on the floor haha

cheers man, mines has a flexy atm and it blows where i have a joint to the mid section and i cant get it to seal

thats what im doing atm, sorting rust, one tiny plate needed on the rear chassis leg as a whole was pointed out in my mot back in feb and ive poked a hole in my rear drivers sill :@ its all gone about 10cm long so ill just have to plate it for now

but apart from that its just surface rust and bubbles that ive grinded back

Darren, shafts are in all the way now so circlip isn't the problem :-)

Petrol, got my mate to do it haha

John, goes pretty well tbh! Box seems fine, just gotta move gearlinkage abit as we put it on slightly out.
The rust was hiding under the black underseal, only noticed when I knocked it with a pry bar doing the wishbone issue lol

Adjustables will be next month, gonna live with these for now. Tracking and wheel balancing as it has a little shake above 80 lol
Not a massive problem to sort.
