Also worth looking at the Xsara VTS, same engine, same chassis and can be alot cheaper than the GTi-6. Also doesnt have the turning circle of a bus as it has a 5 speed box

Just messaged him as I sold on the car on 140k+ in March 2010 and he states it's on 126k...

to be fair it did state different on the clocks as the previous owner had to change them, but can you see the big change if this guy has kept all the service history.. He clearly has my SR dyno print off.. :lol:

Also it was mildly modified.. it did shine, shame about all the key marks it had. It felt amazing.

he replied to me and someone else saying he has proof that the mileage is correct via the DVLA website with MOT's way back to 2008...

Erm, I had FULL MOT history. Didn't bother replying. The DVLA website will show the sudden change in mileage in 2007/2008.

The mounts were a little harsh! But it added to the fun of it all in the end.

yeah it had a few dints and scratches. It was perfect aside from the exterior and interior when I sold it pretty much - mechanically sound really. But goes knows what could have happened within the 12k+ that I've not had it. Still, at least you no that up until 140k it's been perfect and has (had?) a solid history...

I'd say they were an 'average' car. Handle fantastic but not the quickest car around, well not as quick as you'd expect them to be. Inside are fairly spacious but the build quality is a little 'french' Make sure the seats still tilt forward and the backrests adjust, common Peugeot problem. Also as Ry said get the belt done regularly as I had a mate who owned one that snapped its belt. EXPENSIVE to put right and a PITA to do......
If your after both cheap and nippy it might be worth you test driving a 306 D-turbo. Don't let the dieselness put you off as they're fairly nippy and dirt cheap to buy/run/insure!

Just come across this, not mega far away either.

Seats ripped and front bumpers needs sorting but if it was to go cheap enough it could be sorted easily.
Thoughts?

Found this, seems cheap and apart from dint in the boot, good condition however the seller says there is a bush problem on the rear and transmitting problem from key, anyone know if these are expensive fixes?
