what car is faster in standard form the rs turbo or rs 1800 fiestas hope this brings up a good debate

Probably the RST's, as they have 10 more bhp and have boooooost!
However the Zetec in the RS1800 probably handles the high speed better

I was just thinking myself what sort of power the RST would have over something like a N/A 2.0, I know they are 130bhp? but they have a turbo..

0-60 for tge rs turbo is 7.9 and the rs1800 around 8.4 or sumat like that but the rs turbo is a tad quicker to 60.

I do agree the turbo will be quicker to 60 but i say the rs1800 will have a bit more top end power but i would love to see a graph of standard specs and times

surely the turbo would be faster but the rs1800 would be the more reliablee car

maybe if someone actually tried it or have specs we will know me and a pal done it when we both bought our first cars i had the glanza and he had a pug 106 gti i beat him off the line but after a while his top end beat me

glanza is a 1.3 though int it? not gonna be much on top end tbh

Fiesta turbo is 132hp 7.7 secs to 60 and 133mph top speed

Rs1800 is 128hp 8.3 secs to 60 and 134mph top speed

What's quicker would all come down to the driver

That's If its get to 130 without blowing up they really are unreliable. I know cvh turbo are not known for reliability they are chocolate engines but the glanza is caramel lol

yeah i agree with that to a degree they can take a pounding but the main problem is which is common with a lot of toyota imports are the cylinder head cracks has this has happened to mine and a good few others i know who have them so if anyone is tempted to buy one id advise get head work done once you get it

I can imagine the Zetec to have the most torque, as they are known for that

rst standard: 135 lbf.ft @ 2400 rpm

rs1800 standard: 120 lbf.ft at around 4500rpm

Hmm, a graph would be better to show where in the rev range power and torque come out of them, it would seem though that zetec has the power high on where the rs turbo has it early.

thats torque - and the nature of the t2 turbo means it has power low down til about 5500rpm - but it does shift

zetec needs revving as happypaul will vouch for
