Ah he was going to stick a ... K20?? I think with a VTEC head, so it could run around 250bhp, then upgrade the suspension and tyres all for about £1000, then get me a full respray free! and he was even talking about a new super strong carbon fibre axle that the MOD are looking to test !!

But unfortunately the cost of shipping a car with customs etc etc is wayyy to much :(

Friend of my friend, my mate met him at a campsite he worked at for a couple months out there.

Were talking £1000's to get the car to and from. would have only been like £1000 to overhaul the car :( so annoying.

Were going out there next year for a holiday, big house, pool, free limo's. Gonna hire out a couple Porches and drive around the clubs and stuff :lol: Then get his friends gold card that normally has about $10-15000 on it, go to vegas and blow it all in a weekend!! he's has a $15000 weekend before and it sounds EPIC

im not sure i would feel to good about sending my car to a different country for a friend of a friend to work on...

besides you would get more satisfaction for doing all the work yourself.

All ready to be painted up and put on.

Now can someone recommend how to go about cutting the bonnet? the only thing I can think of with the tools I have is drawing it all out and drilling a hole in the middle and cutting it with a jigsaw (dependant upon whether or not we have a metal blade) but I wondered if that would crack the bonnet or anything?

The way I have thought is sensible is one of those cutting discs, but I don't think we have that at home.. Do you reckon it would be expensive to pop down to the bodyshop with the bonnet and say "here can you quickly cut this out for £20?"

dont you have to be careful where you put them in to keep the structural strength of the bonnet. it may be a sheet of metal but they are designed specifically and play a part in the cars crumple zones

You'll need a metal cutting blade I would think.

Would probably easier to use a small grinder.
