so my car failed its mot the other day i think the mot guy was a bit picky or a vauxhall guy as he failed my car on every little daft fault.

failed my car on the door pin as my door is starting to drop a little;

failed as the doors need the latches fixing, im having no luck finding latches from ebay either. also do the fiesta si 1.4's come with central locking as im not sure if mine does.

i dont fancy paying £70 per latch from the ford garage.

anyone how much the door pins are from ford and anyone got any spare latches for sale?

Some si's came with central locking and some didnt, depends what package it got boughy brand new with.

whats wrong with the latches? anything a bit of a strip down and clean cant fix?

does your door hit the stricker and then go up slightly when you close the door? might not be the pins, could be the weld on the hinge thats failed/failing, the pins shouldnt ever break as they are solid metal. either way, just move the stricker down a bit

ebay is probably your friend, or a scrappy perhaps
