One thing I will say is that I noticed you said you hadn't done much because of working on other people's cars? Well, knock that on the head for a while and do your own! I've done it in the past, and end up neglecting, or rather hating working on my own. Not good!

So concentrate on your own mate :D

I cant deal with the anal stuff about everthing being exactly how it was, with the paint marks over the bolts etc, plus the cost of doing that

Also, have you seen the standard ride height of a frst :rolleyes: :doh: :lolz:

Haha, well there's no deadlines with this car and with me not having anywhere near the amount of time I used to, it will take as long as it takes :)

Paint on the bolts - basically in the factory, once bolts are torqued up, a stroke of paint is put over them which also runs off onto the component they are bolting. This is a confirmation that the bolt is tight, and also a confirmation that the bolt hasnt been tampered with or worked loose as the paint stroke wouldnt line up anymore if it had

Still some on the 1.1 as it hasnt been hammerited to the same extent underneath and is in pretty good nick. Still do it on new fords today too

nah though its truly inspiring watching your work, thats why im glad your heavy on here as when i was booted from FT i was worried id not be able to follow/comment on your progress's


whats the plan for the rust? can see that you've found areas of bubbling under the underseal underneath

strip back and cure or cut out and replace?
