good stuff mate, interior is much tidier now, the seats look lovely but the bolsters look a bit small not very supportive?

whats the little gubby hole on the dash do? above the cd player ive been wondering

Lol i made my celica on forza, stuck a gt4 engine in it with mass turbo and 4wd, was a beast!

Cubby hole above the cd player is liturally an cubby hole lol just for storing little things in, alot of people mount a 7" screen in there, u can get a jdm center consol that has the screen already fitted!

Cheers Ry car is pretty much stripped now apart from the engine! Iterior makes the car feel so much more modern now, so pleased with it! Want to get the engine in now, its teasing me being in that car not being used my parents garage is now full of celica parts!

I still cant believe you got all that for £400, deal if the century.

what was the insurance difference for that engine again? i remember it being good
but its 50bhp for £400 AND interior bits etc

Just a little update.

Everything is on track as i planned. yesterday i got over to my parents at 9am and began stripping the engine loom out of the car ready to drop the engine, wireing loom was a right nightmare to remove, it had been woven in and out of every little gap possible lol. after about 4 hours we had all the loom removed! i then got a bit of wood and some caster wheels and screwed them to the wood to make a trolly for the engine to be dropped onto! I removed all the sub frame from the t sport and the lower engine mounts and then lowerd the car to the ground do that the engine was sitting on the trolly i had made. i then unbloted the two top engine mounts and lifted the car up with a jack and pulled the engine out! so easy to drop the engine out of this car! Anyway the engine is now all ready to be fitted into my celica!

And me being me, gave the alloy parts a good scrubbing down to get the engine looking mint!



More progress next week when i return from holiday, hoping to have the engine fitted by friday next week

i noticed one of the valves per cylinder is alot wider than the opposite one

Lol im impressed with how well it has cleaned up! That was just cleaned with water and a scowerer! Still got all the block to clean up!
Yup the L stands for lift, as u said half the valves are alot wider than the others, the camshaft is also bigger on those valves so when it hit 6400rpm it swiches onto the bigger cam which gives u the extra 50bhp boost up the arse lol

Its nearly time!

Got back from holiday today and went out and bought all the final bits, engine oil, filter, gearbox oil, ps fluid. Gave the engine a good check over to make sure there is nothing still attached that needs to come off, engine crane has been orderd so will be picking that up tomorrow!

I will be gettin to my parents place at 6am to dive in and start the conversion, hopeing to have it all fitted and running by tomorrow evening! Iv got 5 people helping out so should be alot easier for me:)

I really cant wait, just hoping everything goes smoothly and i dont hit any hicups, dash will be comming out first and i will be changing the dash loom over for the t sport one so it enables me to have the traction control working by fitting the t sport tc, abs, esp ecu in place of my standerd abs ecu. Then i will be removing tje engine loom along with ecu. Then i should have a nice clear area to drop the engine through.the bottom! While the engine is out ill be replacing the front sub frame and steering rack as the t sport has a slightly diff subframe and steering rack to the standerd celica to improve steering responcness! Once that is all in i should be ready to lift the engine in bolt up and then re attach the engine loom!

Alot of work for one day but i think it will be ok, lucky i had the other celica to strip apart to give me the ball to do all this to my own car lol
