well depends what the chav is driving :P

but most round here drive 1.4 quicksilver 106's which will give the 1.6 Si a near call

or they drive saxo VTR's which again will workout the 1.6 zetec, and likely pull away :(


hey i aint dissing the standard Si but they did lack power you cant deny that :P

I wouldnt touch another cheap Si with a long bargepole. Or another cheap Ford for that matter.
They all hide rott very well under the seam sealant etc etc, so fuck that.
The Ka has enough of it to keep me busy.

I'm not bothered about speed and being able to overtake the local chavs, I couldnt care less.. I just don't like the 1.6 zetecs. Higher tax and shite on fuel, for an engine which has as much power as many other smaller engines in the lower tax brackets. And if I got one I'd be dumping in a blacktop 2.0ltr, which is not what I need to be doing on a daily car while I have a 200bhp project in the garage.

My Escort isnt meant to be fast, but I spend less on fuel than most on here who use petrols as daily drives :lolz:

Today the scrote was spotted with a massive water leak after a flat out drive down the motorway :lol:
Found water pissing out my "modified" top hose, with a fuck load of pressure in it... gut feelings of previous ford diesels flagged up headgasket in my mind, as they all did the same :lol:
Filled the water up, drove 16 miles to work and all is well :rolleyes:

Going to be turning down the boost when I turn the pre-boost fuelling down, as I don't need 20+psi for daily driving, 17-18psi is good enough.

Replace the water pipe which I have been meaning to do since last December, and replace the leaking intercooler (its making the car smoke MORE! :lol: )

Worst case scenario, I'll put the Uno's carb back together and MOT it to use, and have some manual choke love :hsugh:

To be fair, its not been too bad, most things that needed fixing were my fault... clutch died because i upped it from standard power... i ate the brakes driving like a loon... and the suspension, well that was just shagged to death :lol:
