if theres that many layers, can you not use an electrical sander for ease? or would that completely fuck it?

im glad you started this because i cant afford a £3000 spray job so thought id do the prep myself, my sisters best friends bro said he would be here to give me pointers, so any other advice would be mint so i can do it! it will still be my runaround until i can get it painted so what can i start off doing first? ill start my own thread so i dont get in trouble for raping your thread!

i will use an air power sander probably .

i did toy with having the car acid dipped but costs shy'd me off

i think it was around 2500 to have it dipped and electro primered. but u have to remember that acid dipping will eat away even the smallest bits of rust so the chances of it needing a fair bit of metal work after are high

fair point. think people forget that. so the cost will just keep going up, and up, and up!
