Basically they have no play at all and will generally never wear compared to poly or rubber bushes. Of course poly bushes are good and have a very good wear rate and lifetime but spherical bearings are the way forward if you have the cash to splash :)

I think the benefits wouldn't outway the cost due to the fact I won't own the car long enough for the polys to wear out I bet let alone for these ones, for the extra cost I could probably go through two full sets of polys around the whole car and still have £50 change :lol: If the prices are still what they were.

either way i'm getting some lower arms sent to you for cambering :P that or i'll stick a washer in the top to cancel it out VDub styleeee!

ive got rose jointed area sixwishbones on my si jon i still have a spine and to be honest the ride isnt hat bad but they a tad rattley but thats normal and my word does it handle :)

But until you get a decent suspension setup you will always have a bone breaking ride. My avo coilovers are infact VERY smooth. When we went to the camp site at ford fair, we all went to the pub and i took my mate Kris out in my car, he said 'is this really on coilovers?' i said yeah why? his reply was 'you would never know, its so smooth and it handles so well too'

On the other hand, my spax shocks and springs - you could feel literally every bump in the road.

Rose jointed lower arms wont affect the smoothness of the ride that much, it would affect the cornering of the car.

All depends what you want out of a car though :thumbsup: :)

When I emailed Paul @ AVO, he said to me to have my two rear dampers rebuilt it would be £15+ VAT per side, so £36. I dont imagine the fronts would be much more. But saying that, all depends how badly the thread is, can you not wind on the height adjuster on and sort the threads out? Because the threads are generally softer than the adjuster itself so you can usually wind it on/off to sort them out, might need a C spanner or a big ass pair of grips to do it though. I've done many coilovers units which are damaged like that and they have been fine :)

I will be sending my units to AVO soon to get them rebuilt - the only reason it needs doing is because the adjustment knob/screw on one broke off and the other seems to not adjust properly now... thats what you get for putting them on the wrong way :P (screw/knob needs to be facing forwards, not back).

yeah i put them on backwards when i fitted them, but it was easier to adjust? ha, ermmm its not the thread where you adjust the coilovers, they were fucked but i had a minute file and did each one (major pain) its the thread where you attach it to the top mount!?
