cant believe how my si looked all that time ago......(that second pic...the green car...thats my si when it still had its old private plate on )

its a fair amount of butchery if im honest. youll have to at least fold the front wing lips flat and trim the kit...and the splitter, the back theres a bit youll need to trim or 'adjust' with a soft mallet..and again fold the arch lips flat. it wholly depends on what tyres you want to run. 215's are the minimum reccomended width for an 8j rim. people do use 195s or 205s...im not a fan of the stretched look but i did manage to get mine down to zero rubbing on 215/40/16s and without running coilovers. altho that suspension was freakily good.. but devoid of branding stickers i cant tell anyone what it was... lol PM me if you need to know anything else.

also considering getting a new rs top spoiler and spraying it up in flip and see if i like it better then the mondeo one which has been blended to mine. i can change between the 2 then depending what mood iam in

Considering making a few changes. Iam thinking back to standard bumper without splitter, loose the Mondeo spoiler for standard but painted RS original style spoiler, loosing the bonnet raisers and adjusting the induction hose so the bonnet can shut flush............opinions please

Took the raisers off and hammered the aluminium induction tubing into an oval shape to make it flatter. The bonnet now shuts

Taking the spacers off is one of the best things you could have done RS spoiler will be good too, will look a lot neater and smarter, as for the splitter, not sure. I quite like the standard front end look with a subtle splitter, but its upto you

Yer i never liked the look of the raisers, i only had them on for the extra space it created cause the samco induction was too big. Put the standard front bumper back on for now too, even if i keep the bumper with the splitter on it will need painting anyway. Ive bidded on a FRST top spoiler on ebay too. In some pics the mondeo spolier looks good but in others it just looks like a chuck of plastic stuck to a spolier so decided to loose it and i know people are a fan of keeping things simple. The only outrageous thing that will stay is the paint. love it or hate it its abit retro and different now and i always asscoiated flip paint with OTT bodykits, the flip looks so much better when youve kept the bodywork fairly standard as is mine.

I love the flip paint Its not yellow and pink or anything stupid lol and it suits the car.
It works on tvrs. And people like it, just because its a fiesta it shouldn't suddenly be hated.

bought an RS top spoiler on ebay now and also picked up another RST LSD gearbox. Thinking of just getting a bearing\seal kit for it, VHT paint it silver and some new vibratec cradle mounts and chuck that on. Also looking for electric mirror looms and interior baseplates to finish off the electric mirror installation. TAX and MOT then this is ready for me to drive and decide from there its fate.

OK, as some of you know iam getting ready to sell, so this is a bit a pre-sale post although ill start a proper one when its ready to go

I've been busy sorting out a few things, i've de-chromed some of the engine bay and replaced the samcos to standard hoses, also removed the B&M quickshift and changed the rear lights to standard and tinted the indicators (still need to do the n/s) euro style, removed heko wind deflectors, also took all the door cards off and lubricated all the electric window runners cause they were slow to the point of stopping, fitted new heavy duty battery, Fitted JVC CD player headunit.

and on a quick note id really love to sell it to someone on here so i can keep updated with its progress and know its going to be looked after. Iam not prepared to sell it to some chav locally to find it one day in a lamp post somewhere, even if it means loosing a little bit of money in the sale. Will be the first time I havent owned a Ford for 15 years, gt my first black 1.6 si when i was 17.

Jobs left to do is fit the new ERST S2 LSD Gearbox, get the electric mirror loom and interior plates if i can find some, get a engine eye hook, tint the n/s rear light, try and get it for a MOT.

It will be really hard to see it go but its time for me to move on
