never hear of any Zetecs burning oil...

ive heard of plenty jap engines thirsty for oil, the Sigma Se engines for one (fiesta mk4/5 engines)

LOL ive heard of HCS engines doing about 80k miles before getting new oil and it still run like a dream :P them things are impossible to kill

Sorry, only just realised this thread had comments! The S2000 is the shizzle, will be interesting to see some videos when it is all done!

Lag doesn't exist when you're driving the car properly dude! :P It doesn't matter if it is a little laggy below 4k when your power band is 5000rpm to 9500rpm and your gear ratios never drop you below 5500/6000rpm. But that's it isn't it.. If you have an N/A car then it's slow because it doesn't have a turbo, if you have a turbo it's slow because of the lag, if you have Vtec it's slow because you have no torque, if you have 4wd it's slow because of your transmission losses, if you have FWD it's slow because it under steers everywhere and if you have RWD it's slow because you've just spun into a tree! :lol: There are a million other things I could go on to mention but I think you get the gist of it all ;) :)

Spoke to my tuner today. Manifold has been fabricated and fitted to align up perfectly, along with the downpipe, etc etc - If I'm lucky I may be able to pick it up Friday/Saturday - if not it'll be a 4 day weekend for me with no car again :cry: I want it badly, but I also told him not to rush (not that he would) as I truly believe a good job always takes time. Fingers crossed... :)

wow its almost done? i thought it be there for a few months, or weeks at min! :o


lag would be bad if your liek me, im lazy at times, i have loads of low down torque, and i dont like to have to change down up a hill or if i want to put my foot down at any given speed/rev i dont want to have to change down, id prefer it to get up and go :P

mainly coz being a fiesta the ratios are so close and it can be a clunky gear change at high engine speeds

I don't think Ry's setup will have much lag, not that it will bother him.. he is getting this setup for day to day driveability not just daft power figures.

His MPG will improve for his day to day driving, and if he wants to he can rag it and eat alot of cars alive :lol:

Annoyingly a gorgeous set of Team Dynamics Pro Race 1's have come up for sale in white which are on my quite small hit list to fit a set of Wilwood's into - All my money is tied up this month and they won't stick around - Why does all the stuff you wait around for come up for sale at once, or come up for sale at the Worst time? :lol:

Paul's bang on though, it is about the drive ability the progressive tune. Because my engine has a high compression ratio lag doesn't really feel like it exists and hence I don't need to run a ton of PSI to make effective power. :)
