You rev it over what you've set the launch control and press the LC button, something to do with cutting the spark and it bangs.

Happens on all ZS's even standard ones if you do it right, I thought thats what you did when you overtook that person on the road at FITP?

Thats not lauch control. Launch control is a pre-defined rpm which you hold your foot flat to the floor and it sits at the rpm. Like a low rev limit that disengauges when you set off. But with a purpose!

What you are discribing is nothing more than an ignition cut for chavving around with

Well yeah, I can use it as normal launch control as well. But yes, it serves both those purposes, i've had my fun with it anyway :lol:

If the Q's weren't so long I would have had another crack at it I reckon 8.1 is acheivable, I revved it to 5k and launched by mistake on that one lol but gear changes and that were pretty good,

what you got is just a hard cut limiter, just cuts the ignition at a certain RPM, launch control is the one when you set the RPM limit for a perfect launch, so say hold the button down it will bounce off 3.5k then you let it go as you let the clutch off (i think)

My mate had it on his cammed vts, it was savage on that.

mines just twin coil Launch control with rev limiter, selling it now anyways. AMD couldn't remove my limiter

how much you selling the limiter for mate?

im trying so hard not to be a wanker but, iw as expecting ALOT more from that run, 8.27 for 150bhp isnt what id expect at all, i made a 8.5 and mines only 126, and more or less the same weight :doh:

oh and after this weekend i hate the sound of Se lumps with LC, they sound strangled
(mind you so does my engine atm, used to rev freely, something's amiss imo

)

i did see you many times but you mostly looked too engaged for me to strike a convo up, i was taken to the roof and mirrors though, looked ok, but i agree do the rust

put a ton or two away to get a body shop to do it

Meh, my starts were bad what can I say, that coupled with the fact the lambda isn't working so the low down torque is a bit shocking it didn't really kick off til I hit the cams at the top end. I was waiting for you to say something, glad you held your tounge as best you could.

Limiter is Â£90 posted.

Yes, I could not chat when I saw you I had 10 minuites to find a ZSOC staff member, get my track time passes, get to the track and race! with three minuites to spare.

Also left 4 ZS's and a diesel mondeo for dead on my last track session

one of those ZS's has 180brake. So its not always about how much power you have its about how your drive

I would say your run and launch looked much better than mine, I revved to high and hit the limiter to much.

oh i dont mean to be a prick mate, maybe you need more practice, dunno how i hit the run so well as ive never done it before, hardly ever practised it on the roads either

but you have the protential to get lower, with a good launch id say around 7.9 would be achievable

yea the second time i seen you, you were sprinting off to get the "best car club" award i think? hahah

I just made silly mistakes. First run forgot to change gear and second launched pants. Santa pod is better. More grip.

Nah I was sprinting for my track passes, didn't know of first time..
