fuck...

i was cleaning the side of the head ready to bolt the thermostat back on
i then tried to get the rest of the knackered o-ring out of the thermostat recess thing
and the rim bit snapped
what do i do?

this is my thermostat (atleast thats what i think it is) lol you can see the recess is no longer there for the o-ring to sit in



this is what came off. it looks like it was stuck down or had been glued on before which is probs why it snapped easliy




can anyone shed some light on this?
do i need a new unit?
if so how much are they?

oh i did get this done though


after my engine chucked all its oil everywhere last time it ran im takin precautions this time

you could try it without the o ring and use some silicone sealant

right then my car failed its mot yesterday morning
bits of welding i missed on the sill everything else was bob on lol
gonna do those bits over the weekend and take it for a re test on monday where it will sail through lol
