i just did the clutch on dads 1.8 td fiesta mk5 zs replica and theres a whining noise coming from the box when in neutral help ?

Not sure about the clutch you've done, but on some of the clutches I've done, the release bearing could go in either way, and one of those ways is wrong... Have you bled the clutch fluid properly? Where's the slave cylinder on these? Is it concentric like on a Focus?

Have you bleed the clutch properly? Theres a very very small chance the concentric slave is faulty, does it whine when you dip the clutch pedal? Could be the input shaft bearing

Saying about living things inside the bell housing, i found a spider sitting in one of the core plugs in the block when i whipped my gearbox off my old fiesta for the 2nd or 3rd time i think it was. Scared the crap out of me when I saw it, looked evil lol.

If its stops whining when you put your foot on the clutch, i would say theres a good chance the bearings on the input shaft have gone. (as said)
