well yeah, i was looking at danfrasers thread, he upgraded to a mondeo servo and front brakes... that would be the plan, naaa this is my baby, wouldnt destroy her on the track... but the bigger brakes will all be getting ready for a bigger engine!

wouldnt want to dump a turbo in there and have my shitty breaks... so yeah that will be the next stop, but ill have to save for em, especially braided bloody lines!!!!!!

right. bit of an update. was my granpa's funeral today so after we returned i thought i best keep myself busy!

so up she went (havent got pics atm) and i finally got the calipers painted. then thought fuck it ill fit the splitter whilst im here. finished spraying it yesterday and just wanted it on!

noticed id have to take the bumpers off to get a perfect fit, and this is where my problem started!

first bolt below the front light snapped off after a long time losening it... onto the second, think im going to have to hack saw it off. completely fucked. surely others must have come across this problem and the fact its a pain to get to to losen?

probably buy a rivet gun tomorrow so i can rivet the splitter on, which is funny because i wouldnt have had to take the bumper off but hey ho. tips if any chaps, need them for tomorrow or im just going to hack the fucker to pieces.

When I took my front bumper off one if the nuts was corroded on so I hacked the fucker off because the bumper was fucked anyway so thats how I got it off lol.

ha, think ill be doing that bud. then going to get some new nuts because there not coming off!

Well if your using the same bumper again dont ruin the bolts, just get the nuts off. Also be careful not the ruin the foam backing of the bumper if you lose your temper and try racking the bumper off because its thr foam that holds the bolts to the bumper.

On the break topic I would stay away from greenstuff I've got them and they fade quite bad, also with grooved disc your pads won't last half as long just do you know.

Is get bigger discs with just vented discs and ferodo pads

There aint many si bumpers left with full bolts left because theyve all sheared.

well lads, got hold of 2 new nylon threaded nuts... they fit, now its just to see whether there is enough thread to take it through the valance and tighten them up... i will have to invest in a new bumper at some point as i imagine ive weakened the fuck out of it, and added more weight due to the splitter

one quick question... i dont have washes as the others wont come off, and if i did it will reduce the amount of thread even further... does this matter????
