Hmm didn't know they had that type of steering wheel in the VTS, and those seats.

So when are you going for the typical enclosed induction kit, exhaust system, decat and manifold? :P

I like it. Dare I ask how much you paid? (You can PM me if you likes)

Dare I also ask.. Does it feel faster than your ST? :hsugh: :hsugh: :hsugh: Really sorry guys, I know it's a terrible bait. I must grow up.. I must grow up... So does it?

Never seen a 2 tone VTS, funnily my 16v badges where also missing (and remove in a similar fashion).

It really is worth an exhaust and decent induction, they fly afterwards.

I will say I do miss that 2nd gear.

Kam racing enclosed forced air induction is a must! Pugsport exhaust or the newer Saxsport (Made by scorpion) exhaust, not big can infact they come with a 2" tip i think, they have proven gains.

Lower it and get the wheels painted it will look lovely, i do love a 2 tone vts.

Apparently my car is as rare as hens teeth. A two tone VTR is rare but a two tone VTS, said to be only 100-200 made. :D

well.

I knew the brakes were shite but I didnt realise they were complete shite.

The frenchie decides the honeymoon between us is over and kills its washer jet pump

No big deal lets whip it out:

Image

Being built by deserters it is only held on by a turn of the filler neck anyway 8-)

New oem jobbie from Peugeot, seems to be more robust (the white one)

Image

Had a gander at my inner arches as I removed the plastics. Nice couple of blisters forming. Who said french cars dont rust? I've never seen a mk6 fiesta with rot yet.
No problem, wire brush and waxoyl will do for now.

Image

Anyway:

Image

meh.

Bought some of these. I class them as a brake upgrade, You will see why:

Image

I couldnt undo the calipers. So I went to a friends who had the equipment and was a trained mechanic.

Air impact gun, big mallet, industrial drill and angle grinder. That is what it took to remove the stupid fucking things from the hub.

Image
Image

that is why they are an upgrade

feel loads better already, only the fronts done atm. rears are the same I imagine.

one more.

16v badges.

The car comes with the chavvy 16v badge on the rear quarters as standard. Someone removed them with force and wrecked the paint, they look like this;

by , on Flickr

I am considering putting some back on, they are standard so why not? I know they were on every single car park racer in 2005 but time has passed. thoughts? :)

I say put them on, standard is best and whenever iv seen them iv never thought chav when theyre on a vts because its where they belong, but obviously mega chavy and stupid when on anything else lol.
I can imagine thought brakes being miles better, them old ones are shagged!!

Until someone told me they were standard I just thought they were gay.. still do now even though there standard doesn't change what they are to me.

I can only imagine how much better those brakes feel  loads better!

I had to fit a new washer pump on Fi's 106 back in Feb - was a tad annoying to get to, cue cut hands, but didn't take long. The rust isn't too bad on that to be fair though dude, Fi's is a little worse and she is on an X reg.

Those brakes were proper buggered though :o

I never said french don't rust, french panels don't rust.

Good work on the brakes.

I wouldn't replace the 16v badges as they will just get nicked again, I never had them on mine and didn't miss them.

ugh i dont like Citroen brakes, they like using them torq screws to retain the discs, but i know isnt just a pug/cit thing but they really help them warp to the hubs...

i guess its worse on a warm hatch them being used much more aggressively then my grampa's picasso lmao

as much as i think them 16v badges are chavvy looking, and that halfords sells a copy of them to any old fucker, theyre standard and should remain if any 16v should be there
