Proper ECU remap. They do a Dyno printout before, Map it (might be on the road, but I think its on the dyno) Then do me another printout after.

ahh

with the mk3's you cant simply do that with the ecu, you have to save the map to a chip then you attached to a port on the bottom of the ecu and then it works the same

which apart from needing a palce that can cater for chips, is actually better because you can sell it on, or buy a generic chip far cheaper that is designed to work with certain mods

eg, i have fast road cam, t3 turbo and beige injectors, also a larger front mount intercooler which is common, think thats more or less the 195 stage lol

Yeah good its a good so you can sell the chips on I had a crappy superchip for my si, did fuck all.

With generic chips though, every engine is different so your not squeezing out quite as much as you could :) Proper maps are the best way imo

Chips are lame. All they do is tell the ECU all the sensors are cold which makes it overfuel all the time, gives you a slight improvement sometimes but not always

Its getting there! The launch control was a bit of fun times to test it out and the banging and flames are lethal, I won't be doing that again as the engine rocks badly and the mounts wear down and the exhaust gets very hot and hits the beam and all sorts of problems. Although I can just press the button at the limit whilst driving and it bangs two times louder than it did in the video.. :P

The cams themselves are awesome, as I said before can't believe the extra low down power then the top end is just epic! Mapping tommorow will make it all the better. no flat spot and will just be pure power :)

Changing the engine, loom, little niggles here and there, will all be worth it next week! Taking it out on track will be so much fun and give it a month i'll have it looking how I want and i'll be done!

Will be interesting to see how it performs out on track with the cams and the mapping

Do you know how much the mapping is going to cost and what are the expected results power wise ?
