ive come up with a little idea, might get some underlay, and do a load of it under the carpets in the fiesta and boot, add more sound deadening

also ive had a inckling that the centre console in my escort might fit the fiesta, so after some measurements

Escort:
36" overall length, 16.5" end of the stick (gaiter end) to the shaft of the gearstick, and its 212 from the tip of the handbrake to the end of the console, 6" wide between the seats, 5" between each seatbelt anchor

Fiesta:
6" wide console where it sits between the seats, theres 5" gap between the seatbelt anchors, and theres enough length ways for the 36" console

so it will fit


started to try and remove the console as it will dummy, then i can buy another to fit that in the fiesta

cant for the life of me figure out how to get it out of the escort though lol


the benefit of the escort item is, its longer, so more modern and upper class
and it has a gubby hole for storage that has a lid, as well as a dipped pocket

removed these screws in the lidded box


gaiter up, but cant see how to remove it from here?!


the escorts spoiler and rear spats getting some rubbing down prep ready for more primer, the last owner did an awful job of spraying this!

its a 17 year old car mate, its gona squeek and rattle!!

my bootlid used to squeek on mine, done my head in.

id still choose fiesta over the escort though.

i did remove an escort console but cant remember how sorry lol

sod the escort though mate you'l do what iv done
iv bought a 1.1 fez and pug 306 while si was off road then kinda neglected the si
then scrapped the 1.1 and got rid of the pug after driving a mates mk2 golf gti as i missed the rush and...............

my si is quicker than a mk2 golf gti lol

Maybe its due tot he overfueling, or maybe its due tot he addition of the four branch

my injectors may not be 1.8/2.0 ones, again the ecu is a standard 1.8 one not rs/2.0

its not a bad thing though, makes it more 2.0 related as theyre alot lower down the rev band too


you got the details for the 2.0 paul??

think 2.0ltr are around 5.5 for bhp

just to note, even though it peaks at 4800 rpm

its not like it tails off at all, it holds its power till about 5500prm

same story for the torque it once again rises back up and holds around 3700rpm

dont forget now that mine is running a non RS/2.0 ecu so it did ok for itself

Was running abit rough at the time.
RS1800 engine (which is just a 1.8 with 2.0ltr cams and ho inlet lol)

I just can't see why your power is so early, because it shouldnt be.. non of the 1.8's do that, and even the 2.0ltrs are higher than that.. your closer to my diesel rpm lol
