It does come down to the driver, but does he brake that early as the focus wouldn't be stable otherwise? (just an idea not saying that is the case)

it may not or may be the case - i'm just sayign that video can't be used as the be all and end all :lol:

Driver is a big factor though - as mole, scamp, sam, emma will testify - i could handle the st :P and showed up one or two "better" cars ;)

tyre choice is massive to - My ST was 100% better on paradas.....

if i had the money id deffo get a fiesta ST, ive considered them for months now, if and when im back in a stable job i think i will get one, either that or the ZS, just something about them i love

IF you get an ST - be aware of the following:

* White carries a premium
* Phase 1/2 have differences in lights and interior - personally i prefer the Ph.2 interior and front lights - but ph.1 rear lights
* 8 ECU's were used from 2004-2008 so many drive differently - my red st was a beast :lol:
* Tyres are massive - Standard pirelli's wear like fuck and last 6000 miles while paradas handle better and 13,000 miles isn't unheard off
* You will need a K+N and flexi pipe at least as these standard items are restricted and you will get around 165bhp with just those to
* Paintwork chips to fuck :lol:
* handling is very good imo

if i got the ZS it be for refinement and compromise, my Si is the speed of a ST so id not worry about that, i could sue the Si for playing

but the St is a nicer car, interior and wheels etc, the fuel economy is a worrying thing, im used to getting 33mpg with the Si, 28-32 would upset me more lol


this isnt anything though, id get one after a solid job, so its all theoretical :)
but id say id go for a ST

ive considered taking some for a test drive at some local dealers to get a feel, but im worried ill get the buzz, and im awful i wont stop till i have one lol, so best leave it for now

mine was spot on - weird - but the gearing (gearbox is immense) is far to short on the sportka

i love the sportka. its good coz i still got a fast ford sort of lol.

yeah it aint got a lot up top end. mind you she reckons shes had 110 from it. supposed to be about 108 on the books i think. gear shift is superb.

handling is amazing on it as well, i put toyo T1rs all round on it, its so much fun to drive. ford should have gave them more power though. she wont let me modify it unfortunately, although i sneekely removed the airbox restrictor when i serviced it but i went even worse on juice then so put it back in. lol

was the exhaust loud on yours? hers is quite loud. rumbles a bit like..

i got 115mph out of mine :lol:

gearbox is the best i have used :chill:

handling is amazing - just needs more supportive seats!
more power is definate though - with 125bhp-130bhp it owuld be amazing :D

yeah the exhaust is loud :lolz:
