I truly admire your attention to detail, especially with the low points on the bonnet, iv had my rst bonnet forever but iv no experience in preping and spraying.

You're a bastard! Because of that I spent half an hour looking for low points on my car earlier (in between all the goddamn chav dents).

firstly been doing a bit more to the cam cover,
as the factory oil breather position is mega close to the fuel rail on ian howells inlet manifold
so decided to reposition it, was also going to go bigger in size but after a quick chat to ian,
theres not much point as the block breather is the important one

so heres the old oil breather position




and after some time with the belt sander its gone






inside the cam cover the oil spray will have to be extended to make sure the new breather location is covered from oil spray




with the oil spray shield removed or whatever you call it
this ridge needs to be removed also




the result so far




the prepwork continues




after a few coats of high build primer and blocking inbetween to leave us with a finish ready for painting






decided to put the old aperture seals on the two doors and tailgate opening,
as i intend to fully wetsand the car in the future, so going to keep my new seals off until the messy stuff is over




this should hopefully be the last photo of the car like this,
panels should be on soon




trimmed the archs of the front bumper equal on both sides






one more thing...............

and 3 coats of lacqeur

today it was panel time,

a sight i've not seen for some time
i can now call it a car rather than just a shell on wheels haha

new ford bolts of course, decided to leave them unpainted

ok recieved new door latches as the old ones had surface rust
which would of let it down alot
