Meh experience is nothing.
I can change a set of plugs, i can change a set of leads, i can do basic service work, i can flush cooling system out, but im fitting a 2.0 into my Si.
I may be doing it the more expensive way, but i bought the lump as a complete unit for 80.00 from someone on here
When i got it :
A couple of weeks later :
If you have a decent tool set, or decent ish, ive got most of halfords range as they are cheap enough but not so cheap they bust and split with the slighest of force used on them.
Ive got a rail of short sockets, long sockets, 3/8 and 1/4 ratchets, torx socket bits etc, all you need really to strip the lump down.
Get a tray for all the bolts you take off, label them if need be, get it down the bare lump, then clean it, paint it, then build it back up again with all Fiesta Zetec 1.6/RS1800/XR2i 16v parts.
Then if you want fit it yourself, thats what im doing id rather know its been done by myself and anything wrong with it i may know or have a clue to as why its gone wrong, where as you hand it to a garage, hand over the money an dget it back, you don't know how theyve done things, what they did, there methods etc.
Do it yourself, its good rewarding fun
