Very true, but as I have pointed before as far as performance goes, you can make up for less torque with more revs.

If you look at the science (and the sums which go with it) it all makes sense.

I am sure Ry posted up some good info on the whole revs/torque/bhp thing and it was a good read, will try and find it.

I think the main thing with having less toque and more revs is you need to know how to drive it and its easier to be caught off revs as such. (I know this after owning to revvy french cars)

i understand the rev part aye, mines the same, dont get caught in a low rpm when you want to put your foot down as it wont be the same as 4k or higher


i remember what he said, but theres no replacement for torque, if your pulling a caravan, you can never get to the higher rpms as you will struggle without the torque

the only thing about vvti or vtec or vct or watever you wana name it, is that you HAVE to rev fuk outta it!

for example in the ignis if im doing like 30 odd in 3rd gear about 3000-3500rpm tkes a little while to get going until you hit around 4500 when the vvt kicks in, then it goes. but you can just make up for this by flicking it down a cog straight up into the vvt at around 5000rpm and off you go!

the civic type r i drove was the same, but much higher revving, and a much bigger kick when hitting vtec.
