No pics, as I was lazy.

Removed the sound deadening and poked a few holes in the floor pan... 1 was around 10p in size, another is the drivers seat mount.. its like a double skin and has shat half of it, so I'll re-do that mount.. also found it abit scabby around the rear mount for the drivers side wishbone carrier, not a massive issue..

But all in all, floorpan isnt too bad at all

Spit is being converted to fit the Ka.. so I can get it on its side to abuse the underseal

On another note... wiring will need to be custom as jam pointed out the location of the loom going to the headlights goes where the cage sits haha

The thing with the KA, it just didnt seem worthy, in my opinion it was more of a 'looks' kinda thing.

Any known power output of it?

Yeah but think about the pressure loss down the system. You think if you put a massive turbo on the end of your exhaust, its not going to spool up much compared to straight after the manifold, then you have to pump it back to the inlet, which isnt too bad when the turbo is spooled up nicely, but still, there is potential faults there. I personally would have just dumped it in the passenger footwell lol.

In all fairness, it did look pretty impressive. I bet he loves hearing it when hes booting it lol

He's put some thinking into it as the turbo has its own oil feed in the boot, so if it does go tits up he can still drive the car lol

I think the reason why hes going bigger turbo is to overcome the loss of pressure... he reckons the turbo isnt big enough for the engine, but as you point out.. if it was on the engine properly i bet it would be sufficient.

Still... rather not have the hassle, bet working on that if a major headache

Update:

Just spend a few hours with the Ka.

Finished removing sound deadening, removed the heater box, removed all the wiring loom, removed the bonnet

Dunno why people moan about sound deadening, use a 2000w heat gun and a scraper, you can pull it off in seconds


Stripped:-


Drivers side rear seat mount, its only the top layer of thin metal, not a major issue to sort:-


Tiny hole on the drivers side where it meets the inner sill, was hiding under the seam sealant:-


Very small hole in corner of drivers footwell:-
