hey chaps, a reletive is selling this soon and ive considered jumping manufactures for a chnage and see what its like, always loved these since Gran Turismo 1 and one to come up like this is a breath of fresh air

it runs and starts sweet as a nut and ticks over lovely, interior is in good nick, as so is the body panels, the paint has faded and being on a farm mildew has paid its rent and resides on most of the lower parts of the car

only issues are the tyres will be old and worn, and the brakes also will need seing as theyre old rotten and likely need new discs as its been stood for a while

intent on having it as a play thing and evidentially get it mot'd and drive it as the insurance isnt much more than the Si, and its alot more special than an everyday fiesta, 130brake or not

so please let me know what you guys think

now i forgot to add, its a Toyota MR2 naturally, G limited (love the name alone )
2.0 16v non turbo, they make about 158bhp at standard, Mid engined, rear wheel drive

K reg so 1992 or so, its an import, and bog standard only slight downside is its an auto

it has 146k on the clock but im not sure if it were kilometers or miles :S

Another bloody car, doesnt look in great nick lol

will come up nicely after a good clean degrease and mop genuine parts are expensive from the dealers

What you mean you got slated? Just saying if your skint then don't do it the Thing will turn to a money pit, why not look at eunos roadsters and old mx5 if you must buy another car, they are the best rwd 2 seated for good money and no1 can argue .

Or why not sell the fez and get a good Jap car like a celica gt4, could pick up a vtec for a grand

i think some better pics of it cleaned up an t cutted would change peoples comments lol,
dont look too bad but i wouldnt be payin much more than 400 for it with no mot, bear in mind that your gonna have to run it on 97+ octane fuel all the time and you will rarely see past 25mpg especially in an auto....
i say, if you have the money to spare, go for it.... if you decide you dont like it/cant afford to keep it, you wont lose money as there at the rock bottom price right now and will start going up in value soon......

its mildewy as it resides on a farm, in far west pembrokeshire, so that is understandable

hes my cousins hubby, he was given it as payment for some work he was doing for the woman,
he was going to use it for spares for his GT turbo, but that only has a head gasket failure, not quite something the non turbo can help with

id scarcely be paying for it, id sell the escort for £400-£500, id go down with an A frame and pull it home

no losses there, one car project for another, AND being my mother to hopefully buy it i can see use from the escort and or use it myself one day

the price would be £300 as it is, with a new spare wheel, pumped up tyres and a buffted up paint job, it should be redish by that point

Looks like a money pit fella, and that's coming from someone who currently owns 5 MR2s so take note.

If you want to buy it to do up for the fun, fair play, if you want to make money, I dont think you will.

Also, Mr2's with the autobox are pretty tragic and IMO dangerous in a midengined RWD drive sports car with no traction control, if that thing down changes mid corner in the wet, you might get a nasty shock.

If it helps, I've just picked up a tin top G limited manual in red, good nick for £500 ish, with tax and test.
