Well done on getting all that done guys, a real passion to keep at it no doubt, was great to see and hear the car on the weekend

Thats shite that the clutch is still slipping though, i will be getting mine replaced and uprated when i can afford it as running what im predicting as about an extra 70 lb/ft torque and 45bhp will add some wear!

It seems i have no luck with gearbox and clutches

Its a skimmed flywheel and repaddled clutch in there now and it still slips.

The bara box cost me £3000 and i had to spend another £1309 on it to get it into a working condition. Now its up for £3100 ovno


It made me smile, until i nearly got overtaken now i hate it more.

Its quick and the popping was amazing!

Dont let a clutch problem beat you, what clutch is in it and what are the other options?

Its a paddle AP plate, and AP HD cover, its the same clutch that has been in it since i got the car, the only difference is that its been repadded after it siezed its self against the fly.

Other options are a twin or tripple plate clutch at about 700 quid, then a 350 quid fly to suit, then a 600 quid centre push release to use it. Basicly, way out of reach price wise

Borrowing a clutch from a friend to test to see if it makes any difference. So off comes the box again

found an oil leak at the back of the engine, which we found to be coming from the head gasket so we removed the head

All i wanted to do was change the clutch

The fun of owning a cossie eh

Ah well, at least there is never a dull moment......

Don't get rid of it What will you have to have fun in? Surely the noise pops and bangs are all worth it. Such a mental car, looks noise and power. Would be a real shame.
