love these had one exactly the same except with O.Z's i know you say you dont think coilovers are practical by you its the same by me and ill be honest the drive with coilovers is much better than springs some people think coilovers are solid but you get a real good drive with them plus when mine was on springs i was never happy never looked low enough

na i sold it all after the bottom end went theyre pretty common on these apparently mine and 2 mates who had one went also seen one driving past the other day knocking like mad if you got one check the oil literally every week!

and as for shortened shocks i couldnt find one but a japanese guy in hyeline sorted most of my parts out also tried to get me to supercharge it haha couldnt afford that.

the boots awesome mate, seats fold completely flat so its like a little van then. i had loads in there the other week when my missus moved house. had 2 wardrobes in it as well lol

i agree with jony, the body isnt really the right shape to be dropped on it's arse if you know what i mean. the rally ish theme seems to suit it better

noo they look much better lowered. and it will handle much better.

been looking at coilovers, trouble is they are so expensive!!

£530 for GAZ
£620 for D2

and the suzukisport ones are soo rare!

just gave the car a wash..

..while i was washing it i unplugged the battery to the reset the ecu for half hour or so. according to people on ignis sport owners forum doing an ecu reset can improve the performance of the engine. so doing a bit of an experiment

then plugged it back in, left it idle and warm up for a bit.

then i took it for a quick blast down to tescos for some juice, only thing is im a bit skint this week so has to put normal 95 octane unleaded in.

anyway, took it for another blast down the bypass, didnt really notice any difference to be honest, maybe its because its now running on normal unleaded or maybe its just not done anything at all lol.

really wanted to put tescos 99 octane in, but its 141.9!!

i also noticed the other day that the sainsburys super is only 97 octane, so thats why its a bit cheaper i think. i think it should be running on 98 at least

im also gona go put some of this stuff through it now, used it on all of my cars, its made a bit of a difference to them all before, makes them run a bit crisper.

no offence mate but your paying more money for sod all, its hardy a high performance engine, its not going to benefit at all from 99 octane

what car done test using a focus 1.6 through many different driving profiles the same way with 95 and 99 and there was very few differences between them
