You got a pressure gauge sorted yet? It might be worth keeping hold of the voltage one and putting it somewhere out the way as its always good to see if its charging properly, but personally I would get a digital one because its more sexy

Ok so this car is getting money spent on it that I don't even have but every penny is worth it!

I have now bought cans of gloss black ready for the horrible plastics all to go shiny.
I have a spare brand new spoiler that will be paint purple, not sure if i'll bother fitting it yet but I might do my wing mirrors at the same time as the base plates.. So might do the swap.

I have just bought 2 4 point Luke harnesses in red. Not the colour I wanted but hey, a bargain is a bargain :lol:

Also meant to be buying an oil pressure gauge, but i've just remembered this and I don't think I can manage that :lolz:

I have worked it out that I can just about be ready for Ford Fair all being well, hopefully I can get my MOT sorted out and it doesn't fail on anything :lol:

ohhhhh and i'm just waiting to buy some clear rear lights now as well for an absolute bargain price.

They will be tinted and whatever else to look like these, my mates car repping them -

Those are mhw smoked lights though, or maybe not mhw but deffo smoked!

I cannot see a difference between MHW's and Clear ultras at the mo, I know I will need to Defilter them and then tint them and then put that black thing on. But apart from that there the same shapes etc?

Danny we are spraying.... Ready? :

Ford Velvet Purple - Air bag cover, interior light surround, fuse box cover.
Gloss black - Bump strips, Roof rails, Wing mirror base plates, Front lower grill.
Plastikote purple - Calipers, new spoiler, (possibly wing mirrors)
Underseal

Thats about it. Not toooooo much

And replace the fuel rail. It should be fun times

Thinking about it i'm going to need more plastic primer -.- I've bought ordinary primer from that place thats no good.

The only difference is one is smoked and the other is clear, those lights on that car are smoked and not tinted clear ones. Unless he states otherwise?

That plastikote purple i gave you will look fucking fit on on the spoiler and wing mirrors!!!

What time you want to come down? Earlier the better of course. Get more done that way. But tbh painting isnt too hard, 15mins between each coat of paint. Can paint stuff in a couple of hours start to finish depending how many layers you do.

Yeah well what I want to do is just lightly tint the clear ones so there smoked

Its like a homemade RS Accessory light to you mk3 boys, not quite the real thing, but good enough

Its a very sparkly purple. will look great, hopefully can get a good match for my roof cheqs

I probably owe you about a holiday right about now the amount of abusing you get from me and my constant questions and visits to do shizzle.

Yeah I got some wire brushes. If you take them off completely you will yes. You can always just take them off, hang them from the suspension and spray them. So much easier than messing around bleeding them and stuff.

I have millions of news paper so you can cover your car and arch with it all if you do it like that

Ok, as long as it doesn't mess up the car i'm fine with that, we can triple layer it all over the place

It is about time I got my bum in gear and sorted out all this exterior crap, I see a trip to halfords friday coming along.

What sand paper shall I get for the plastics etc? I've got some paper kicking around, but i'll get more just in case

Just get a mix if you can, or just some quite abrasive stuff and then some fine stuff. Abrasive to get rid of the texture and fine to smooth it all off. If there is a pound shop near you anywhere, check there, they sometimes do a mix of like 2-3 sheets of all different grades

What about door handles? Boot lock/handle plastic?
