Just been on the phone to the insurance cos i found my certificate for the alarm on the car to see if they would knock any money off... after half an hour of giving details over and over the guy finally tells me it will drop from £1197 a year to £1156, tbh i thought it would be more than this but its better than nothing, then i asked how much it would change the price if i added locking wheel nuts, 20 mins later the guy comes back to me with the price.......... goes up by £27.. per month!!!! HOW THE FUCK DO THEY WORK IT OUT????? sick of tax/insurance/ petrol prices raping every penny we have

ive just changed to a company called need to insure, really helpfull, spoke to a guy called paul who has a cossy so knows the score, did me a really good deal and saved me over £100 on my renewal from flux!!!

went from £600 fully comp for my frp and mk3 mondeo 2ltr tdci to just one car mondeo st tdci and they wanted a extra £100

Sounds ridiculous, insurance companies need to start again with how the assess applications.

im sure they just pick a number out of a hat
i queried the £100 extra from going from two to one car and they said it was because of the bigger engine (2.2) even through the puma was insured for more and was in the same insurance group as the st. the std mondeo was only 2 groups lower aswell

Quite a few people are with need to insure on here and I've not heard one complaint yet. They've done me a fantastic deal on a couple of things and Paul Bostrom really knows his stuff

Well I would class it as a complaint, what use is an insurance company who don't supply quotes to normal people.

do you ring them or use online stuff cos if you get through to people its worth it and be FRIENDLY they lap it up mate n if you get a bird BE EXTRA NICE but not too much lol i got 500 quid knocked off my renewal im 25 with 5 or more no claims 2 accidents and 2 claims lol
people in branches are always set a higher target to get and they will knock it down but only if you haggle
they are trying to make money after all lol

I wouldn't waste my time with such a company, they clearly don't want me.

The only reason I would phone would be to waste there time and ask questions like 'does that cover for zombie attacks', as it is I have better things to do than phone them, I have to go and crash my car and steal and kill... because thats what we all live like around here.
