Well it's easy enough for me to get out of it lol living at home and all.

Theres no way im binning it all lol unless you meant just the engine. either way i'd have to find some way of sorting it as easily as possible, so annoying on the last bloody thing though.

If the valves are fucked, we might be able to just get away with swapping the heads over with just a new gasket and head bolts. You will only know if it needs skimming once its off basically as your cars old engine hasnt had a headgasket failure it should be ok, but depending on the gasket marks and stuff on the head will determine if it needs a skin, plus if its true (flat), which you cant tell while its on the engine. 99% of the time you dont need to skim it, if it does need one you just give it a really light skim.... but lets not worry about it until monday

You never know, I might come along, have a little look and be like bish bash bosh, tinker tinker, VROOM! lol.

No cams, which is even better news because I have a complete 38k engine with no damage

Miracle really but epic at the same time! Thank to Danny for the help, I am back and will be at FITP

I will fit the cams in a month or two, but give myself time to get some money together again.

Just literally the timing was out because of changing the crankshaft pulley.

luckily because it didnt' actually start there wasn't any internal damage

We did have a little worry though didnt we :lol:

You left it in gear while it was on stands and it was clunking when we fired it up, i was like hmm ive just timed it up, turns over by hand freely, wtf? Then i was turning it over again just listening out for the clunks, noticed it was the freaking drive shaft and brake disk spinning around clunking, whacked it out of gear, then it purred

New clutch is good too, no tyres by the end of the week you reckon? lol

Yeah that was bad times. I was mega worried.

ST Clutch is awesome lol its like a race clutch. No tyres by the end of the week would be back times. I need to get used to the bite as the wheelspin is wayyy to easy :lol:

I'll back up his driving, its actually not as bad as you think.

For the first 10 seconds, then its like l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-limiter, pop pop bang pshhhhhhh (yeah it now has a turbo) vwarrrb-barb-barb-barb-barb.... ba-barrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrb, barrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrb, bom bom bom bom, BOOM, pshhhhhh.
