Need to rob the speedo cable off the escort van as mine has broke and I have no speedo

Got a slight shaking from the passenger side, I'm hoping its wheel related or even wishbone related, but everything is bolted up so unsure what that could be... unless new clutches do that for a while? fuck knows

Will investigate, and fit some new parts soonish

I drive through a 50 average section twice a day, this morning was interesting

I think the shaking from the N/S/R is a driveshaft issue, because it only shakes/vibrates under acceleration

Compared to standard its madness
I wouldnt say it was really fast compared to the likes of a 2.0ltr zetec, but the torque value feels daft... oh and the smoke!


Anyone know what tools I need to remove the rear wheel cylinders? I couldnt see wether they were nuts/bolts/torx

Well its starting to piss me off now, although I havent touched it
Was thinking it was a gearbox mount causing my issues, spoke to mark and he "modded" one slightly to refit it, but I've given it a good shake and its not rocking much at all... still putting it down to driveshaft issue...

If I have to I'll rob the driveshaft off the scrote van I have sat around at the moment

Well well well...

Sorted the vibrate issue (well mostly...)
Antiroll bar was rubbing on the N/S shaft weight, which has rubbed a little off it
So sorted that problem.

Checked the engine mounts, no excessive play, but good job I checked because the oil feed back to the engine from the turbo was leaking, so nipped that up and cleaned up a little!

Removed some more aircon pipework as it was in my way

Pikey'd the rear brake which is leaking, will be sorting it later in the week and will need to replace abit of brake pipe, which is no biggie.

Still shaking abit but my wishbones are shot to bits, and I mean shot - so will be fitting the new wishbones tomorrow...

I neeeeed to paint it again, but I'm skint and I don't think I'm gonna be able to get it done in time for FITP

Also need mark to swap my tyres from the alloys onto the steelies, which will then get balanced next Saturday... nothing like doing things late before a show

Wishbones on - after alot of fucking about with one bolt, as ford are pricks.

Shaking still there, gonna wait till the wheels are sorted and then if it doesnt sort it I'll swap a driveshaft from the van the night before FITP

I get used to driving fords with nackered wishbones so it never bothers me, plus the roads are so shite i never notice

Drives alot better now tho!
