I do like them, I wanna see it in person tho to make my mind up

For your rear spacer I would have gone for something like this:

Spaces your drums out, so in theory should do the bearings better

cheers all...i'll get more pics might sway some of you ;)
seriously though, my Lenso's were marmite too.

Paul, thanks for that link.. the rears were quite heavy (Think it was forged stainless steel) so if they are a pain I will get the axle spacers above. cheaper and better solution, wish I knew about them before!
Fronts should be ok, they are lightweight alloy (Cast too I think).

cheers again!

Thanks for the comments guys...
I'm not sure whether I prefer them to my previous Lenso's....tbh I probably like them equally lol.
Anyway, after a 3hour clean I've got some 'better' (use it loosely) pictures :hsugh: in a new location - i'm running out!

Anyway, cleaning process was:

1) Hosed loose dirt off
2) Turtle 'Wash & Wax' (2x Caps) wash with Meguiars microfibre mitt
3) Rinsed with hose
3) Dried with Meguiars Large drying towel
4) Wheels individually cleaned with mitt :banghead: , then rinsed & dried
5) Wet look tyre spray applied (car plan)
6) Autoglym 'Fast Glass' on all glass items including sunroof
7) Inner doors, boot, sills wiped with drying towel (damp) and dried with microfibre cloth
8) Poorboys SSR Scratch Remove on swirls/scratches applied via microfibre
9) Autoglym Super Resin Polish
10) Turtle Wax
11) Beers

Thinks thats it... Please give me ideas on how to improve this for better results as I'm thinking of getting back into the detailing side of it again... I think i need a 'sealant/glaze', any recommendations?

Also, I noticed I may have something missing...

Presume it's for the boot to sit/locate on...tbh I wouldn't have noticed it wasn't there but I'm thinking this may be the reason why I've had water in my boot previously....
Guessing these are hard to get hold of now :sigh: if anyone has a spare or breaking a Fsi let me know.

Plans for the next few weeks/months:

- Refit radiator & rad fan switch with some PTFE tape on the thread to stop it from leaking
- Change drivebelt in a bid to stop the squeal/belt noise i'm getting (unlikely I think)
- Hopefully win and fit the 'HO' i'm watching on ebay
- Now I got the boot pop and rear wiper working I need to fix both electric windows and refit doorcards with the shitty plastic securing things as it's abit flappy
- RS Tubby bonnet + painting & finally painting front bumper with new fog lights (already secured)
- New Indicators (getting mouldy) and headlights....

In fairness I've never really sorted the front end from the crash so the above shouldn't cost a great deal and should sprouse it up for a little while.

Comments as always appreciated whether you likey or no likey...

Those boot dampers are easy to get hold of, most scrappies should have a fez with them on :)

Following a few weeks on the new wheels, i've decided something isn't quite right...

Chris_ZS hit the nail on the head i think....needs to be lower

It's 60mm too low???
I need to know pro's and con's, don't want the ruin the way it drives...I drive it daily, over some speed bumps etc...

I'm contemplating going back to the standard wheels, re-painting them gunmetal grey and lowering it 60mm..... thoughts????

Cheers

Do it! What size are those wheels and tyres? take a measurement of the arch gap first to make sure you've got room, as long as you've got a smaller set of wheels just in case it does scrub badly/too much for yourself. But it looks like theres enough and it should be alright. I didn't get any issues with scrubbing apart from with 3-4 people in the car over potholes and speed humps

i had my fez lowered 60mm and it was my daily and it was shocking at getting over speed bumps, bumps in general was made 10x worse :lolz: , but i loved the way it looked and it did handle like a go kart! :chill:

maybe 40mm would be a good compromise...though it won't make much difference to how it is currently (5mm difference!)
lol

Well if you go back to standard wheels and go 40mm lower, it will be a fair bit lower than what it is now. I used to have my old fiesta and my current si at -40mm with 15 inch wheels, it handled brilliantly, wasnt too bad over speed bumps ect... but then i went down the coilover route on my si and i would say its 60mm now, but depending on what route you take depends on how it will drive i personally think.

I say that because my coilover setup is actually so much smoother and softer than what my spax -40mm setup was, so therefore the ride is better, but you do have the comprimise of where its so low you have have to go sideways over speed bumps lol. I wouldnt change it for the world though personally.

So really, its down to you.
