well i bought them off tango, and he bought them for his mk3.5?

if it is im going to be pissed. bit if they can be sorted by washes then shouldnt that be okay?

will they be able to sort it? and yes, just general play. bushes were in fine condition, seemed to fit when i put them on, but the play is very minimal

thanks for the feedback guys, this has been a massive pain. if they cant fit i will be seriously tempted to sell the fucking thing...lol

so as danny said scott, can that gap be sorted with washers? or with the bushes from the standard suspension put into them?

it looks good -

however, with the dark wheels and lights it's a bit much
maybe get some standard lights and tint the indicator - or the light smoked rear lights :chill:

right, car is at the garage... oh my god its horrible to drive with the hardest setting :P would be even worse if the fronts were on!

so this is the plan, i have to be patient as fuck all day (as its my ma's b'day and we're out till atleast 3! to find out whether the have bodged the coilovers to fit, fitted my eibach 30mm or even fitted my old suspension! in that case, the car will be going to save me grief!
so everyone please pray that the coilovers (obviously for an mk3 which im annoyed about) are made to fit, if not, the eibach 30mm give me enough pleasure to look at.

:( i hope it goes my way today or ill give up hope

If they are mk3 coilovers then you can shim the bottom of them to fill the gap between the shock and the hub or Paul fitted mk3 coilovers to his mk3.5 and just did them up damn tight with a windy gun and didnt seem to have any problems, passed MOTs with them like that I think

I will be seeing Shaun, Carbonboy67 on FiestaTurbo.com, later today who has mentioned before about getting some shims made up so when I see him I will ask him about them

I remember driving to FITP 2008 in the RS1800 slammed on the deck with the hardest setting on.
Driving down the A1 for 100 miles bouncing away compared to my mate in a fiesta with 60mm springs who was comfortable.
I was close to shitting myself.

lmao banter that.

sam mate i settled with what i was happy with... and that is your 30mm's scott :D knew i should have just fitted them as soon as i got them!

right story is... went round, they hadnt started (because they squeezed me in to their busy scheduel) so went round again and joined in the fun!

story is, they are mk3.5's (contacted 95si who was the original owner) so sorry elward mate! the blokes there said the play was nothing to worry about, was very minor (just me being OCD! however, the front pair, the threads at the top, there simply wasnt enough showing, and i wondered this yesterday! problem is the threads below a certain point have been a bit sqaushed, he offered to sort them but he said it wouldnt have been till next week, and it would have costed more on top of that, so i settled with the 30mm.

most people will think stupid idea, should have got the coilies sorted but 1. i dont have adjustable cambers so i couldnt have gone lower than 30mm anyway without getting negative camber... 2. i often do a lot of taxi 'ing for my mates, max scrubbage, setting them to the perfect height would have been a major ball ache! and all of this just simply made me go for the 30mm, so happy with how it looks! and it hasnt settled properly yet either!

however one question... there was a slight clunk when i put it on full lock, is this normal( i have just had the lower arms replaced and obviously diff suspension on. the wheels are very close to the shocks but arent touching from what i could feel and they are spaced 5mm?

will be getting tracking done tomorrow, a good wash a clean and putting my fsi.com stickers on and gel overlays

will get pics up once camera has charged! sorry for the rant but it needed to be done. much love

ben, and thanks to everyone for all the help and advice that has been given over the past couple of days... been a great help.

Second on the drop links, normal to go clunk when they are knackered, new set from eBay will set you back about £10 posted

Glad you are happy with the 30mm bits you bought off of me. As you say they will still settle as they have done minimal mileage, probably still got all the Eibach markings on them !!

Get some pictures done tomorrow while you are out and about getting the tracking sorted
