Ah. yeah someone else said that someone had driven there car for loads of miles and it was fine and they rebuilt it and its still fine :lol:

I know its not ideal. but plenty of people have done it before, they all say don't do it for more than a month or so, which should be all it is for me :) Plus I rarely drive the car anymore, its only social to see the misses not for work so its all good :)

Yeah it will not destroy your engine by any means, just run rich, be a pain in the ass sometimes on idle, and you won't get the most usable power out of the cam. It's no doubt just your AFR that needs tweaking. I can't talk, I'm running rich due to having a lower comp bottom end and it stinks to high heaven at times, but I did do that out of necessity as I had no car otherwise :P

I want you to come to the RR day. :D it'll be worth it, we'll probably have a Sixfields in the evening too! Would love to see how the mk4/mk5 zetec-s engine compares and how the torque and bhp curve changes.

Let me work out when I get paid etc. As I have a holiday and my birthday in june/july. with the RR its a good £80-90 day :lol: but hopefully the remap will be may so I should be only on cheap bits and bobs by then :D It could be fuelling you never know. I have no idea about any of it and just hope its gonna be alright lol

You need to get some vids up Chris :D All I can say is this car actually fucking flies now lol. Its rapid!

As I said to you, keep an eye on the oil level and see if it goes down. As for the miss fire, its probably the mapping that needs doing, so sooner you do that the better :D

Anyway, im glad your happy and it was a pretty good little afternoon doing it, apart from the set back which you caused :P lol.

Yesssss I will get some tommorow, I am going to take my dads camera to my gfs and wash the car and get some vids :) Will try and get some moving ones in portsmouth on sunday as well!

I have a lambda coming anyway as that was a problem pre-cams. 4 weeks til the next payday and i'll book my remap :)

Yeah thats cool man, I would say this weekend, but im busy with work shiz.

Lamda could sort the problem, be sweet if it does.

Remap and limiter removal will be awesome too. But I wouldnt get it set too high, you will have to find out when the peak power is and adjust it to suit. Bearing in mind the limiter is set to iirc 7200 on zetecs for a reason - because the internals cant take much more. Not just the big end bolts as such, but other components too. But big end bolts are a pretty good place to start as they are the weakest point usually.

What make are they?

Either way, upping the limiter slightly would be good, considering you hit the limiter before you know it with the cams now lol.

There are just HD big end bolts direct from shawspeed.

I've done all my reading up on the limter etc. :) Mine limts at 6850 right now, and the standard internals can take up to 7600 on bolts. The peak power is around 7200 I think, Once its mapped i'll have a play around with the omex limiter :)

Yes its madness, go for a proper blast and the limiter is there before I know it and i'm like nooooo so much more power to come :(

I never knew the limiter was so low on zetec-se engines! The older zetecs are up at 7200.

But as you have done your research about it all, you know where to limit it :D

I think i'll probably limit it at 7500 :) I'm now in the process of debating remapping companies, trying to get people who have experienced the places and have results and opinions is hard! its all people who "think" and would "recommend" :lol:

atm i'm still thinking AMD in Essex, but Track N Road are "meant" to be the best and most accurate anywhere, and AMD are a little overambitious. How anyone knows these things I don't know, but I think TNR are £150 more! I will be emailing them to find out but thats way above budget haha.

Ok so I went cruising with a mate, him in his 131bhp 306 and in 1st, 2nd,3rd he was Behring me and he couldn't keep up, I wasn't pulling away as such we were on par! Was awesome.
also, my cat spat a flame :D
I got a video but I need to see if it works when uploaded to a computer as for some reason videos don't seem.tonwork on my phone once recorded :(
I had my HD camera but it had no battery! :doh :
