Today I didnt do much apart from put some of the engine bay back together again, put some spanking new oil in there with a nice new filter, dropped it on its wheels again and took it for a quick spin up the road after it had warmed up. It has an idle problem, which can be sorted easily im sure, but because of that it pops when the revs drop to just under 1k and you rev it to bring it back up

Also 1) i forgot how fucking how it was. 2) i miss driving it and miss the power of it 3) i forgot how stiff coilovers are compared to normal suspension lol. oh and 4) i miss how it sounds, the exhaust is like sex to the ears.

I actually cannot wait to get it on the road again!

1 way to sum up the 197 is like sex, you build upto the best bit and when it eventually happens it only last a few seconds but you always want to do it again!
Poor Orange Si is hurt. Started first time after sitting for 3 weeks and with virtually no petrol in it

Drained my coolant, got the (broken and leaking) radiator drain plug off and replaced with a new one. Filled up the coolant system again. Had to drive to Wolverhampton to get a nut which had gone missing which controls the linkage to the 2 throttle bodies on the right had side of the inlet, as the linkage wasn't opening them properly.

Then put these on...

I unplugged my lambda and found out that was my problem.. £60 for a new one!!!!

Plug it back in now as I've used a shit load of fuel for barely anything

Not done anything to the Si but went mad and bought this. It is meant to be a winter hack, I just peaked a little early! I know it's not as sweet as Des' car but at least it's white and a three door

drove it for 3 hours straight to pick up qn rs turbo bonnet

Is it just me who prepares my current car for winter rather than buy a second one?

Thinking about it, its time to swap my wheels back me thinks.
