Just won the set of 15" steelies on eGay, shall be collecting them within the next couple of days
Will need to swap 2 good tyres of the xmas trees and fit them to the steelies
Slap the steelies on, proper wheels FTW :D

Still waiting for the geez to sort out the 60mm springs for me

I'm now off outside to wash it and put some more paint on it!

Just been to deepest darkest south yorkshire to a very *ahem*shit area :lol:
And came back with 4 15" steelies, 2 needing tyres :D

FYI, 195 50 R15 steels are spare wheels on Puma's for anyone wanting some scrapyard bargains ;)

Will fit 2 on the front to get rid of the 13's tommorrow.

Had a blast down the A1 and realised my boost gauge has died and my turbo has too much boost when flat out :lol: So will turn that down a tad and turn up some more fuel tomorrow :lol:
Its fun playing around with it, because I havent got any tried and tested info hah

Yeah, Turbo is near enough dead now.

Last nights blast down the A1 was not a good idea, I didnt realise my pipe popped off the actuator, causing it to boost as it likes.. that added with "low" oil on the dipstick, has meant that my turbo has effectively eaten itself! :lol:

It now smokes more due to less power, and the turbo can be heard screaming its nackers!! (see.....)




Scrapyard run saturday morning, I remember buying one for £10 last time I had a TD, so hopefully find one :D - even better if its the bigger turbo version :teehheee:

I forgot to tie it on... and the daft boost I dialled in after the fuel increase popped it off without me paying attention.. serves me right for trying to hit mach 10 on the A1 :lol:
Still runs like a dream apart from flucturating turbo :lol:

Will find one at the weekend, can't remember if the Mondeo TD's use the same manifold, I know they use the same turbo, so worst case scenario I will just have to swap the turbos around..

Like I said previously... fuck it, its a cheap shed :lol:
Still not got round to fitting the 15's on the front.. also decided that lowering it is a bad idea.. but I darent go round Ford Fair with standard suspension :rolleyes:
Need a wheel bearing and a brake cylinder for the O/S Rear too, its pissing brake fluid and my bearing is wanked :lol:

Scrote is sat in Shonkworx awaiting repair :iagree:
Turbo proper shat its pants yesturday, spitting all my engine oil into the inlet, making my engine run on itself...
I made sure it didnt run away and at one point had to stall it at 35mph :lol:
It was ticking over nicely after that though, so it seems I havent done any damage to the engine itself :)

Removed intercooler, thats full of oil as expected, turbo is full of oil, engine is oily :lol:

Will be off to the scrapyard in the morning to rave off a turbo from either an Escort or Mondeo, I'm pretty sure that most of the Mondeo manifolds are the same.. if not I'll have to do some rebuilding and swap the turbos around.
My worst nightmare is the bolts on the downpipe from the turbo, because they'll be seized due to the heat that gets generated from the turbos!!

While I'm at it I'll be block off the EGR (which will only be full of oil anyway!) and will be bashing the CAT through :hsugh:

If I manage to find abit of exhaust pipe the right size, I will be poncing that from the scrapyard to make a backbox delete also for some wistle action :lol:

Fords, gotta love 'em... although to be fair, It was my fault it shat and died :lol:

Scrapyard No. 2 came up with a MK5 Scrote TD
Wasnt covered in oil so took it off, and noticed that the MK5's did not use CAT's so I took the downpipe to de-cat mine :D

One problem I have is, my exhaust was a cut and shut fix for the last MOT and therefore doesnt sit properly... I'm pretty sure the MK5 downpipe isnt the issue..
So it now sits on the piss and I cant get it on one of the hangers...
So I'll go get the rest of the MK5 exhaust next weekend to sort it :)
