i have bought a second hand strut brace for my si. i need to bolt it too the top mounts but how do i do this. will i just use self taping screws or need to put a nut and bolt through it

get some strong self tapping bolts but make sure you adjust the brace so its pushing the struts outwards before you start drilling :thumbsup:

I fitted M6 nut inserts into the strut tops and mounted the strut brace with M6 stainless steel capscrews, never had an issue, and very easy to take off if you need to remove the strut top for access etc....

still not got round to it yet. does anyone know if you can get into underneith it to weld nuts on?

you would need to get right to the top of the strut housing to put nuts on so would have take strut out first, rivet nuts easiest or just self tapping screw bolts which is all they normally come with as standard.
