Hey Guys,

I am dropping the BT Zetec turbo in on sunday,
now i thought i had everything covered however i have hit a slighlt issue with the coolant hoses,

To get me started i will be using the fiesta RS turbo radiator and intercooler.
(I already know that both these items are not really capable of keeping things cool once you get to the 200bhp mark, they will be upgraded in due course)

So carrying on the top hose is easy, i will use a 35mm barbed hose connector to shorten the current zetec top hose,

however the bottom hose is an issue,

the blacktop zetec water pump pipe points down and to the right,

the fiesta turbo radiator hose point left and 45degree's towards the engine,
i figured i could just use an escort turbo hose, so went out and blew $40 on a samco bottom rad hose which unfortunatly had no chance of fitting as it was way off and to long so i chopped up the hose and pretty much wrecked it in an effort to make it fit,

so i would like to know who here is running a blacktop zetec on a CVH radiator and how did they get around the bottom hose? as im a little stuck and only have 3 days to find something suitable,

I have ordered a couple of 35mm 90degree elbows and have a couple of bits of the escort turbo hose left which have the outlets for the heater matrix anyways please let me know whats you guys are using and pics if you have any or other posts related to this issue i did search but to no avail.

i use lots of bits of hose conjoined in a strange arrangement. does the job

we fitted a focus rs engine in my mate IMSYs fiesta and used 2 135 degree elbows 32 mm diameter , and an adaptor with m10 thread adaptor and take off pipe , bought all the parts from Rallye Design, and very very well priced

I done the same with my ST170 engine and used 90 degree bends instead with the same adaptor, and all is working bang on, if you need some pics let me know , and ill put some up for you

ST170 with High Compression Pistons, steel rods, Stage 3 head,Newman PH4 cams ,Twin 45 Delortos, Weber Alpha Management, Quaiffe IB5 gearbox,LEDA Coilovers etc .........

Unfortunately the pistons melted on the m25 and the weakest part of the piston (the inlet edge) broke off and damaged the head on all 4 pistons whilst cruising at 4000rpm after 1000miles of running in just days before i was going to fit the bigger injectors and removing the limiter,

engine will be torn down gaps measured and pistons sent back to JE pistons for investigation.

3grand of engine reduced to scrap for now (well not all of it )

RS1800 will be going back in.
