When I turn my car on it the light near the clock flashes if I wait a while it flashes once then 3 times it eventually goes off all together but still won't let me start my car anyone know what I should do?

i beleive that is a pats related problem - or the chip in the key

disconnect the battery for an hr
connect it bk up see if that works

Does the car just keep turning over or does it actually fire up but then shut off if you know what I mean?

if the light is flashing - from memory it won't turn over - and it is the key chip that is the problem.

but i am relying on memories from 5 years ago

Nah won't even turn over have disconnected imobalizer have jumped it still nothing

Mechanic thinks it's because I tried to start it while my pats reader was dusconnected

Look into bypassing the pats system?

Okay so I still haven't managed to do anything about my car the guy I thought could fix it is away can anyone here or does anyone know anyone local to Essex that can recode it?

Hold on i'll scan the ford handbook. It tells you all about programming PATS
