You dont need reverse light to pass MOT

Car looks superb, I should sort out my bits of rust on mine, iv got some hammerite.

Lights look good! I remember when I did a set like that on my old car, indicators didnt want to shine orange though, so got another set and just did over the reverse light

cheers all, i know had it for too long!!
looking at the tyres for the wheels...would 195/45/16 be an option? Personally I'd prefer 195/40/16, being lower profile, but not sure if there is that much difference?

If you go 45 make sure you don't get silly rim protection type. Also depends on your wheel suspension combo

nice mate, very nice indeed! kind of skipped from page 1 because im tired so a couple of q's!
where did the coilovers go mate?
what happened to the lenzo alloys was it?

tinted red lights, lok absolutely mint! so not the norm mate. and the respray! almost jizzed when i saw it. i wish i could just decide to get a full respray done like that

Coilovers went to happypaul in the end...although I loved them, it was abit harsh on the roads daily...so i'm on -35mm Gmax which i couldn't care if I break tbh!
Lenso's I sold, similar reason..they were to nice for UK roads (or to hard to keep mint!) they started getting blemishes in the chrome/polished lip so had to go unfortunately.

I've test fitted the new alloys, now all on 195/40/16's- looks MINT..unfortunately i need to space them out quite alot but i'm not going to cut corners so i'll be ordering some hubcentric 24mm spacers later (for the rears), and 15mm for the fronts (with longer studs). *edit* due to ET46 offset!!! no i'm not just doing it for the hell of it!!! lol

Didn't really want spacers but it just looks soooo damn good!

Pics next week once it'll hopefully be on and finished

looking good, looks liek this used to have a towbar according to the plate mounts int he boot

same as my escort astate, which incedently is my first car to have a towbar fitted (before my time)

you'll find the mondeo Si/escort GTi wheels are Ronal made

yeah i took the towbar off, I did always wonder what they were in the boot though!
spacers have arrived today...mega chunky!

test fit with a tape measure.... think we got it about spot on!

pictures are poor, i wasn't messing about- better ones will follow.
overall i'm very pleased with the way it has turned out...they have been spaced out to look standardish, I get no scrubbing/grinding/wheel wobble, and Im happy with the appearance :thumbsup:

It drives as good as standard, so the spacers haven't affected it ... (i may eat my words if my car needs wheel bearings every 10 minutes).

Anyway, comments welcome. Hopefully in the next few weeks I'll source more parts...i'm hoping to do a revamp on the front end as I've still got that damn ash black bonnet :banghead:
