Update:

Got exhaust paste, a new bracket, and my cat hangers, so that is now all back together as it should be!

Also the lower strut brace is back on

Tried diagnostics but no luck so a ford technician reckoned that i should just go for the Leads, so i got a set from the local Auto factors for about £20 and bung them on and the miss fire is all fixed

Gonna drive it tomorrow to see what shes like, and hoping it improves MPG now as 25mpg average was getting a bit boring

Also got stuff on order now and the radio/cd sony player will be all go, will just need some nice speakers

She's getting there, if the love kicks back in i might keep it for longer and fix MOT stuff so it gets another 12 months

Im feeling this too, Focus RS cars are dipping out of the £20k mark now for 09 plates so in a few months time im feeling a second hand one

No where round here to store the Si though!

You could always rent a garage in the block near me in Basingstoke.£40 a mth all in.I'm about to rent one and theres two next to each other My XR2i's going in one.

Update guys got some money for something nice to use when I need it although i only use about 5000 miles a year, in two minds about what to buy but I do miss my ST500 focus

I was gonna sell the si to a member on here to take over but having seconds thoughts as I think I would miss it, thinking of maybe having it for shows and track days in future, just not sure ATM, any thoughts guys? It's not show condition but if I have another car I can use I can work on it when I want and not have to worry about not being able to go anywhere

What are your guys take on this and what you would do? In 2 minds, but having 2 cars to chop could be a pain too

On the focus rs front can't find a decent enough mk1 for the money I have, and I've decided to avoid the mk2 rs for at least another year at least as new rs will be out in that length of time will wait and see how that turns out when it finally arrives, not forgetting the fiesta rs aswell!

Some say to me go old RS and although tempting that maybe the local chives round here seem to pick old cars to have a go at especially as it maybe in the car park outside from time to time, and not to mention the funding an RS is
I would want one as the second car not my main one

Yeah you can keep sorn cars on driveway no problem.

As for the car front, I think you should keep the Si for track days and or/show use. I mean, you could have it as a project car and just keep adding bits to it over time to make it into a track weapon. If I had the space and money to do it, I would. Or, you could totally restore it to original condition and make it show worthy or even concourse worthy if you want to go that far.

For the other car, old skool is new skool at the moment. If you go old skool, make a good job of it and show the chavs what power really is!

If you go more modern, then again, get something with some decent power. I think we can all tell you want a car with alot of power as you said once you miss it. So go all out and get something that will put a smile on your face everytime you floor it. Dont get something and think oh man, I would have really like such and such car instead thinking about it.

Im two minds people, someone on here will buy here and no doubt finish the car and take care of it, but not sure i can part with it, yet ive got to sorn it, and then road legal it again, as i dont have a truck or trailer to take it to tracks, really am not sure atm

Was having chats with Mr Meilack the other day and has got me thinking, albeit having 2 cars to take care of, what you guys reckon? Let the Big man take care of her for me, or hold on for dear life?

The young man bought a hose, and after new clips and went on, then the clip on one end had a slight hole and was leaking so after much debate we got some plastic melted onto it, gaffa tape and another clip and it wasn't leaking so he could drive it home

Sorry about all the fuss buddy but glad we got it all good n the end, i heard it go up the road made me miss it more though

Cant get the pissin steering lock off now tho

That thing was fecking annoying, post in the technical section if you cant find an obvious way to get it off, Jam is usually around and has a lot of technical know how, i didnt delv in myself

After a bit of whacking about left to right while attempting to turn the key it would release, a screwdriver in to let the lock release is a bit ott so if you drop a post in there you should get a response soon

god yeh it didnt feel so quick at first then i got on the m roads and hammered it i cant beleive how quick it is in 5th lol definately the best car ive driven just gotta get the steering lock off and i can enjoy it again
