Glad people like them I am happy with them. The ZS alloys will be up for sale i've seen a ZS with White ZS wheels on a silver car and it looks good, but cba with doing it tbh

As for the Decat thing, maybe when i'm done with the car and i've got spare money i'll consider getting a universal one or something.

I'm not up for arguing about it, yes its illegal, Yes I myself didnt like the idea of having it because its illegal, but unfortunately its the only way I could fit a performance exhaust. Yes one day I will sort it out, but its not going to be right now because there are many people out there with the same thing as me, i'm not the only one and i'm not the last

Still fail to see how its the only way, I too have a close-coupled cat and could fit a performance manifold without one and fit a cat further down the line.

The difference is I am nto going to buy the manifold unless I can afford the cat to go with it and keep it legal.

By all means other people breaking a law doesn't mean its ok for you to break it aswell.

Anyway I have expressed my opinion and you have been told so you have no comebacks if/when caught. But to be honest your complete disregard of the law does make me hope it catches up with you sooner rather than later.

The normal cat is integrated into the standard manifold! I didn't take it off on purpose. All I wanted was an uprated exhaust system. Unfortunately that meant going De-cat!

If I get caught so be it, the fine will be cheaper than getting a cat!! But as I've said, I don't like it being illegal so I will sort it one day. It's just not top of my priorities.

My old si wouldn't pass it's mot most of the time.
Not due to anything illegal just because parts kept breaking and failing on it.
I had to use it for work and bodge the repair till my new part arrived or was fixed. I can't afford to lose money or my job which I would have lost had I taken time off everytime something failed on it.

Technically your mot is only really valid on the day it has it's test. How many cars out there now have a valid mot but aren't roadworthy. Due to illegal tyres/lights/tints etc even a leak in a fluid could cause a failure.

Also insurers could say my insurance isn't valid as I have a non standard stereo or the I changed my seats for ones identical but with a different pattern. Even though I declare the big changes to the car (important ones)
Insurers will weasel their way out of paying any way they can.

Yeah my insurers bumped my money up for declaring non standard speakers and adding my second years no claims discount made my premium go UP as prices had risen since my quote. I'm waiting till I update the brakes to make any other declarations with the stereo.

Also we get into the whole declaring your tyres everytime you change them (not alloys just the rubber tyre) as technically we should do that too.

Anyway that's enough of that chris I do agree that you should get the exhaust made legal asap. Don't want it impounded and/or crushed.

Well with the insurance side of things I didn't consider that so thats a fair point.

Like I said, I don't like it being illegal, Hence why i've not replaced my HID's with new ones and got normal bulbs. My rear lights would be fully black if it weren't for legality and I have considered a sports cat when I first got the system but it wasn't feasable at the time. Since then i've never even thought about it.

Right now isn't convinient, due to having a lot of money going out the bank. But in the very near future I will consider when I have £100 kicking around, providing the universal sports cats aren't too much of a pain to get on. a 200 Cell sports cat is apparently basically the same flow as a decat, but keeps the car legal

chris, keep the de cat man, u only get a fine and get told to put it right and thats only if it fails the emissions anyway, the decat itself aint illegal, the illegal bit is if it fails on emissions ( which it probably would do) BUT i have seen cars with de cats that have passed
