well tomorrow ill be changing the oil filter/oil (finally!)

and my k&n panel filter arrived today woop woop! looks nice. was well happy with my free stickers not sure if i want to put them on though? will post pics tomorrowwwww.

Stickers with the K&N?

its a bit od a debate but i reckon getting a better airfilter has made a difference in performance. Its always nice having fresh oilin, makes you feel like youve done your part in looking after your car lol

well it's fitted. photobucket isn't playing game! bloody annoying me. so ill get them up later when they decide to work. so yeah, not sure if it matters which way round the filter goes, if someone could let me know just incase it is in the wrong way lol!

so yeah , was an easy swap, opted for the panel filter after a long thought... although the gains probably aren't as high as a cone, it is noticeable, and also adds a bit of sound, without the box being drilled. so yeah, pretty happy.

oil change didn't go to plan, couldnt find my sump washer, went to ford, had to wait till 4 to get it so that will be another day!

another question is about the shocks. i want to change all 4 shocks as the ones that came with the eibach springs seem a bit rusted up and i think it would be nice to treat the car to a new set. so the bloke at ford said it would be around £35 a corner... is it wise to go for this or should i be trying other shocks to go with the springs? these springs are for standard shocks so ill probably be going for the ford ones.

might be worth buying gmax shocks or similar sports set up, the 1.4 only had standard oil shocks and werent the sport ones, so personal id say go for sports ones, even 1.6 si shocks would be an upgrade

normal shocks aint designed to cope with lowered springs, buying new ones with lowered springs wouldnt last as long as they should
